recording message - select ok button to browse
We recently got the new fiber line hooked up in our area. No equipment was changed except for the modem. Ever since then we get this message "select ok button to browse recordings". This only happens on the wifi box when watching a recorded program. Just at random but sometimes flashes on TV screen every minute. We've contacted telus service but are getting no help of any kind. We've done the restarts, unplugging, etc with no change. TELUS Business has been an absolute nightmare from day one. I pay for 1 gig business internet with WiFi. The WiFi didn't work and speeds rarely exceeded 300 Mbps. When I contacted TELUS technical support, I was told the connection looked fine on their end and that I would have to pay if I wanted a technician to investigate. Translation they took my money and made it my problem. First red flag. At the end of June 2024, the home we were operating from was found to be infested with black mold and deemed uninhabitable. We were forced to move to a temporary location. I attempted to reconnect service, TELUS advised that no services were available at the new address. No fiber. No DSL. I requested cancellation. I was routed to customer retention and spent over an hour dealing with a representative who was clearly not based in Canada and struggled to communicate in English. I have recordings of the calls. Nothing was resolved. I requested a supervisor and that never happened. For the past six months, I have called repeatedly trying to get a supervisor callback. Each time I was promised a call in 24 to 48 business hours. Not once has anyone called. I continued paying the bill to avoid being sent to collections. Now that I am finally at a location that does have fiber service, I cannot complete a simple change of address. No confirmation, no follow up. The online chat rarely works. The business portal fails every attempt. Phone support means hours on hold until you give up. I cannot reach a live agent, schedule an install, or get a straight answer. TELUS expects me to either keep paying for services I could not use or pay a 2500 dollar contract buyout fee while refusing to return calls or discuss a documented situation. That is corporate hostage taking. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Once I can cancel without penalty, I will never use TELUS again and will actively discourage others from doing so. I haven't found a way to only record a series for the Edmonton Oilers hockey games. Its appears that its recording all hockey games for that particular day that the Edmonton Oilers are playing. 2 days ago my email refused to connect and download emails. I have a telus.net account which suddenly refused to connect to my mail app. It has worked fine forever. I can access my webmail but would like to continue to use my mail app. I have spent the last 2 days talking with 3 different telus representatives (at the basic level) who have asked me the same questions over and over, telling me go to google chrome and use webmail! Having me remove my account and re-add, multiple times to no avail. Finally I thought I was getting somewhere by having my call escalated to customer care. This person promised a call back later by an email technical team member. I was optimistic but they didn't call back at all. No message nothing. Last week I called Telus for help with a telus Optik box set-up that wouldn't pair. They booked a call back with a date and time but no-one ever called. This is the kind of service received considering the amount of money charged for home, internet and mobility services???? I have spoken with Apple who spent several hours actually helping me but failed to correct the issue and referred me back to Telus. Back and forth, back and forth........ Right now I am on hold with a 'Loyalty Rep' but not holding out any hope that anyone will care enough to help. Any suggestions??? Hi, If you don't specifically exit from the Telus TV app from the Settings menu, (you turn off the Firestick or it goes to sleep) then the next time the Telus TV app is launched (next day) it doesn't properly load by going to the "Who is watching" screen, it loads to where it was, freezes for a while, jumps to the "Who is watching" screen and then suddenly exits the app completely. Only then can you start the app properly anew. Is there a way to fix this? It is quite annoying, since exiting from apps on firetv is usually done by the back button, but that doesn't work on Telus TV app (unless they added an exit from app popup like the Silk Browser app I suppose). I have a Asus ROG GT-AXE 16000 router running merlin firmware , I set the telus gateway to bridge mode to my router and then set up DNS over TLS with controld . Everything works fine and the status page says ipv4 and ipv6 are both working. After about 2 hours or so the ipv6 says N/A . As soon as I change any setting like native to passthough and then back to native it works again. Even if I just change stateful and stateless or anything it will start working again for about 2 hours. I then enabled DDNS with asus and it work but still 2 hours later says N/A again on the status page. Can anyone help?!?!22Views0likes5CommentsTelus tv digital box volume
Im having trouble with my volume on my telus tv digital box. I just set it up the other day and now my tv volume system has to be at almost 100 and it is still pretty low. Ive tried, disconnecting the remote, holding the volume and option button but it doesnt seem to work, to reset the digital box volume. I was recently double-charged for my internet bill. I have two transactions from Telus, on my credit card, that have been “posted.” I have also verified with my bank that both of these charges have gone through. However, the double-charge is not reflected on my Home Services account, which is extremely troubling to me. I have contacted Telus support several times, all of which keep telling me that there is no double-charge on their end (even though there is on my end!). I’ve been told it must be a pending transaction (it is not), or that I’m reading my credit card bill wrong (which I also am not - I have confirmed with my bank that the charges have gone through, and are both from Telus Internet services). Are there any options I can take (other than reaching out to my bank to dispute one of the charges? That will be my last resort). Or is there someone from Telus that can take a look into where that extra money went, considering the support people I have talked to “cannot see a double charge” on Telus’s end since it isn’t on my home services bill?Solved53Views0likes2CommentsFree TV Order Delay
I signed up for telus services and was told I would get a free tv. It has now been 10 weeks since I got my services but no TV.
