Poor Signal Midwestern Ontario
The Telus cellular signal in my area is having some issues. There is a Telus/Bell tower on Maryville Lake Road near Bruce Road 8 in South Bruce Peninsula, Bruce County. When north of the tower, the cell signal is 5G+, decreasing with distance to LTE. South of the tower the signal is 3G, never LTE. This is a change. It has been an LTE signal for several years. This means dropped calls, poor data service and more. I want to pay off the existing Bring It Back Balance early so that I can downgrade the current cellular plan to something cheaper and in line with my current usage. There is no help documentation for this scenario online - or at least I can't find it - and there doesn't seem to be any option to do this online in My Telus. I would like to send a scheduled email (can't send scheduled text) unfortunately because I am unable to send the text in the morning and for other logistic reasons. Hello, I signed up for talk and text 100 in May and realize only now that it is local calling only. This is absurd that Canada Wide calling is not included. I see now that Telus no longer offers the plan and new users should sign up with Koodo. The Koodo plan seems to include Canada Wide calling. I am a senior citizen barely affording my bills which is why I am on this phone plan. It is for emergency calling only so I need Canada Wide. If I’m travelling outside Canada and someone calls my Telus number, will they be able to tell I’m not in Canada? Like will anything show up differently on their end, or does it just ring through normally with my regular Canadian number showing? Quite awhile ago the concrete poles were replaced with wooden on our street. When it came time to move the Telus lines to the new pole the installers got their truck stuck and never completed the job. We were told this was temporary, that lines being ted off to a nearby tree was a permanent solution...years passed. We've had issues with trucks getting into our driveway, the line was less than 3 meters above. Telus came out, agreed there was a problem and said they'd fix it. The "fix" has been to tie the line to yet another tree (seriously). In doing so it's raised the line above our driveway but now the line to our house is slack and droops far enough that I can reach up and touch it. Any advice how to get this resolved quickly?
