Weak cell signal
I live on a farm and my cellular signal has been getting worse over time. Is there a way to get a booster of some sort to increase the cellular signal? I have logged concerns about coverage on the coverage map - which indicates that there is coverage in the area. There is problems both inside and outside of the house. Thanks.klholz13 hours agoJust Moved In8Views0likes0CommentsNot receiving all calls/SMS
Google Pixel 9 Pro on Telus, switched from Koodo just over a year ago. When I first got the new phone I had issues with calls not consistently coming through. Out of 10 calls MAYBE 3 would come through, the rest would either go straight to voice mail or would just sound blank (dead) at the caller's end. After hours of Googling I tried turning off my 5G network and running on LTE instead. That worked for me... until the last few days. Again, I'm not consistently getting phone calls. My call log doesn't show any missed calls. I only know someone has called if they leave a voicemail, because I'll get a notification for it. But my phone doesn't ring, and no missed call on the log. Additionally, I'm now not receiving any SMS messages from my banks so I can log in. Up until two days ago I was getting all calls and all text messages. In order to get a text from my bank I have to restart my phone. Then ALL the attempts come through at once upon restart. PLEASE! I need a phone that actually WORKS! Google is FULL of complaints exactly like mine with NO SOLUTION. No, my phone isn't silent, my spam filter on/off doesn't make a difference, changing networks doesn't make a difference, these numbers aren't blocked... I don't want to hear all the "obvious" solutions. I have a year to go in my contract but if I'm not getting consistent service then I would say my contract is already breached and I think I want out now. This is ridiculous. Does anyone - ANYONE - have a viable solution to this issue?FixMyPhone17 hours agoNeighbour30Views0likes6CommentsS26 Ultra Galaxy Watch 8 Promo Email
Greetings, Just wanted to see if anyone has gotten their Galaxy Watch 8 email to claim and activate the $15/mo plan yet? I received my phone and plan went active 6 weeks ago (fine print stated 4-6 weeks eta on email) and so far nothing yet. It seems there is no way to track if the offer is still processing through my TELUS account. I am just interested in making sure there was no mix up on the back end in regards to the promo. My Galaxy Watch 4 classic is on its last legs and the Watch 8 was the big draw when I signed contract. Any update would be appreciated. I'm a recent new customer and downloaded the mytelus app onto my iphone and under the Quick Actions section it states that i completed "1 out of 4 tasks" however when i see the remaining tasks that need to be done they are in fact complete and i have verified that. The UI interface is annoying and i deleted the app, turned off my iphone and reinstalled the app and still under the Quick Action section it still states that "1 out of 4 tasks" need to be done. Yes a minor cosmetic annoyance but is there any way how to get rid of this message. Thanks.Stream+ with Discovery+
I posted about this a couple months ago as TELUS started sending me emails at the beginning of the year to activate the new Discovery+ app. The link they’d email me never did work and eventually they told me it never would. Fast forward to today where they’re sending me ANOTHER activate now link for Discovery+ and it STILL doesn’t work. Is this some kind of prank? They’re emailing me telling me to activate the service I’m paying for (and want); yet the link never works. Photos attached of the email and what you get when you sign in. Extremely frustrated. Calling in has gotten me nowhere and nobody seems to understand what they’re sending customers. I’m soon ready to leave because of the incompetence.GrumpyBear57561 day agoNeighbour23Views0likes1CommentFraudulent Offer
I have recently fallen victim to a sophisticated scam in which someone misrepresenting themself as a TELUS Mobility rep convinced me to "switch" from Koodo (where I am a current subscriber) to TELUS with the offer of discounted service and 2 new phones (Samsung S24). Without doing any other checks, I ordered the phones from Koodo and ended up being convinced they were the wrong model. I "returned" them to an address in Kelowna using a legitimate FedEx shipping label. I am now on the hook for two expensive phones I don't have and now need to see if Koodo will help me out with this. I'm happy to provide detailed information on this to a legitimate TELUS representative. I'm still able to contact the person perpetrating this scam, as he does not know that I know this is a scam.Prepaid Plan Issue
a straight forward sign up for a 12 month pre-paid plan turned into an absolute nightmare after the data got removed after one month. there's no way to connect to a human on the phone as their phone tree is broken, and their online support is useless telling me to call in to speak to a person instead. absolute bait with their plans and a complaint to the CCTS needed, but not like Telus will care either way as a monopoly companyCharlie12341 day agoOrganizer1.2KViews2likes14CommentsScam Callers
In the past, I have been receiving a couple of scam phone calls to my cell number per week, easy enough to deal with. However, starting last week I have been receiving multiple calls per day... today in the 5 hour period between 9:15am and 2:15pm I received a total of 17 calls, all of them showing different numbers and area codes around Canada and USA on my call display. I have set my phone settings to "silence unknown callers", but this is still a major annoyance. On the couple of calls that I did answer, the caller speaks with a very heavy foreign accent, calling themself "Mike" or "John" or "Mary", then proceeds with the standard CRA or credit card or other scam script. How is it possible that a major telecommunications company either can not or will not eliminate incoming calls from India and China and other foreign countries and continues to enable these scammers? Why is it possible for people to fake their caller ID number? What's the point in even having call display? Is there an option to block all incoming foreign calls? I feel bad for the people who fall victim to these scammers, but there must be some accountability from the telecommunications companies that allow these scam calls to enter the country in the first place.SolvedAutomatic switching to LTE
Hi folks, I am using an iPhone 15 pro max. For those that know Vancouver, I ride the West Coast Express and find that through Burnaby and into East Vancouver, my phone has pretty mediocre service in 5G. One thing I noticed however, is my phone won’t auto switch into LTE mode when the connection on 5G is poor. I have my phone set to 5G auto but doesn’t seem to make a difference. Has anyone found this issue or found a resolution? Thanks!Solvedgiantbrownguy2 days agoRockstar89Views0likes4Comments
