Bring it back issue
Signed a 2 yr contract with Telus with the bring it back program. At the end of the contract I decided to switch providers because of poor telus coverage in my area and significant lower cost. I have since received a large bill to payoff the phones. I would love to return the phones as per the contract but this seems to be impossible. Stores won't take them and all my calls are met with 1 hour plus on hold until I give up.Solved966014 days agoHelpful Neighbour282Views0likes17CommentsCoverage of my plan
I have the 5G+ Complete Canada-US-Mexico-Caribbean plan but I cannot find anywhere on the Telus website as to the actual countries this plan covers with no added charges. I am leaving on a cruise in 3 weeks and would like to confirm before I go. If possible could I get a link to the plan coverage.Solved96Views0likes4CommentsTelus scam?

Hi, I got a call from 833-896-0450 regarding some winback offer from Koodo which seems to good to be true especially when I am not an existing Telus customer. They also sent a verification text message from '35353' and even email from '[email protected]' Not sure whether this is legit or some scam. Can anyone please confirm on this. Thanks.Solved568Views0likes2CommentsVery Weak or No Signal
When trying to make a call, I get the error "Not registered on network". Sometimes if I move to a different area of the house I will be able to call out, but the call drops while dialing, never connects, or drops shortly after connecting. I have tried all the troubleshooting methods (rebooting, checking the SIM card, airplane mode, resetting network, no network outages) but still cannot get it to work. The strange thing is that I'll get a "new voicemail" message without my phone ringing. I cannot make phone calls to get support so I guess this is the method of communication. Can someone please help? Thank you, LisaSolvedImaigne3 months agoNeighbour107Views0likes3CommentsSMS won’t work
just ported back to Telus from Rogers and discovered I can’t send or receive sms messages . This has also resulted in my iMessage being unable to send / receive on my number because it needs to send an sms verification to start the process . I’ve done all the online steps including resets and power cycles , I’ve also moved my eSIM over to another Telus phone I have and had the same issue. Convinces me the issue is server side not device sideSolvedMannj4 months agoNeighbour187Views0likes5CommentsLest expensive way/plan to use 2 phones in Mexico for 3 days
My wife and I will be spending a couple of days in Mexico City attending the "Dia de Muertos". There will be crowds with millions, yes millions of people. We need a 3 day plan for each of us in case we get seperated in the crowds. I could buy Mexican sim cards and very affordable Mexico phone plans as a last resort; but would rather have my own phone number for contacts from tour companies hotels, etc. Can not seem to find anything that works real well on the Telus WebSite. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Solveddolezsar4 months agoNeighbour100Views0likes4CommentsMobile Hotspot Routers - any feedback on NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 Pro?
There are two amazon.ca reviews from Canada for this Mobile Hotspot Router. One reviewer ('AMN' ... 01NOV23) recommends an ext. ant. (the device has 2 x TS-9 Connectors) .. the other reviewer ('Talys' ... 15JUL25) goes into much more detail, closing with: "Currently, in Canada, I'm not sure that there is any mmWave; TELUS is only on Sub-6." This 21JUN25 reddit post talks about: "Right now only Telus has SA & the speeds are worse than LTE in the 2010s, nobody has enabled the 5G voice codec, & MM wave isn't even on any carriers timeline. Aside from 600Mhz which for the most part only Roger's has, my phone experience is worse than it was in 2018 with LTE" ... I found some of the follow-up replies to the above reddit post to be interesting. I can find no ref. to this MHR h/w in this forum nor anything about the 5G mmWave spec here or on the TM website. This MHR likely isn't my answer (my proposed usage case to follow as an Edit, or, as a thread Reply), given the current TM wireless plans offered, however, this approach seems more realistic now than ever before.
