On October 1 got a call from telus offering to lower my senior mom mobile bill. Needless to say she ended up with the person shipping her a new phone. She received a return label and sent the phone back through purolator. Now she has a $140 month bill. (My senior mom can't afford this!) From $23 a month. I called telus on her behalf and they have not received the phone, so they won't do anything. Is there anyway to remove those charges from her account?113Views0likes5Comments800 deposit when not in contract when got the phones new customer
Hi I ordered service on 10 of Sept of 4 lines . Moved from rogers to telus. Biggest mistake! 1st service is bad. Was under sky and looking for signal on London ontario . I ve sold so many and never had any issue like this . My credit score is excellent!. There is nothing in my contact stated i ve to pay the deposit fee. Nor the telus was aware of any like this. Consistently have this problem where they claim I'm out of data for the month and then I check my usage and its like 65 Mb out of several Gbs. It's usually followed up with 'check your account balance' even though it's a prepaid plan. No point buying data if I can't use like 95% of it ever lol Customer service hangs up after a moment of silence and if you do get a representative you can't understand a word they are saying. On Aug 30, I received a call from (604)338-9379. A man claiming to be a TELUS agent offered me a "special deal" - a free iPhone 16 Pro Max with a 2-year $45 plan (100GB data). It sounded too good to be true, and I felt suspicious. He reassured me by saying I would place the order myself on the official TELUS website. When I checked, the prices on the website were different and no free iPhone. He told me I needed to complete the order first, then he could apply the offer. At the credit check step, I hesitated because of the sensitive personal details required. At that point, he gave me his name - David, agent# TD4000 and another number (825)817-2012. I called that number and reached him, which reassured me enough to continue. I completed the order, paid, and received a TELUS order confirmation email (just as David said I would). David then asked for my order number, postal code, and name, which I provided. But when he asked for even more information, I became suspicious and questioned him. He quickly ended the call, saying he would call me back in 10 minutes to confirm the offer, but he never called back. Since then, I have been extremely worried this is a scam. I immediately called TELUS at (866)488-2709, but the office was closed. I also contacted the TELUS Store in Metrotown, Burnaby BC at (604)438-8920. but they told me they cannot cancel web orders. Up to now, I still have not been able to reach TELUS successfully. I urgently need TELUS to: (1) Cancel my order (TD2636615) immediately before any device is shipped; (2) Investigate the phone numbers involved; and (3) Confirm whether my personal information and payment are secure. Thank you!262Views0likes2CommentsBring-it-Back Issues
Bring it back is an extreme scam of a system. There’s no notifications about it ending, there’s no notice or flag for it ending nothing. We realized that our Bring it Back contract ended last month and tried to get a new phone today (17 days past) to be told we are past the 30 days. The charge hasn’t been added to the account yet but will appear next bill. Only option was to “trade in the phone for less then the owe amount and lose about $100” Customer service is a joke, this service is a scam.455Views1like3CommentsTELUS GST Scam
TELUS has a good racket going with GST. Here is a prime example. I requested a credit for a billing issue. I was charged on my original bill, the amount of $14.00 + GST. When I received the credit, they only credited $13.33, meaning that when GST is credited to that amount, I received an additional credit of $0.67 for a total of $14.00CR. However, I originally paid $14.70 so TELUS pockets $0.70.115Views0likes3CommentsOvercharged and Scammed by Telus
Telus has been overcharging me every month and added a random new phone number to my bills. I have called for 2 hours yesterday only for the agent to hang up on me. I am feeling so helpless and don't know how to deal with this company anymore... HELP!1.5KViews0likes4CommentsFormal Complaint: Unjust Data Charges on Inactive
To Whom It May Concern, I’m writing to file a formal complaint about repeated and unjustified data charges to my TELUS account, which belongs to my young daughter. This phone is strictly for safety purposes during her walk home from school. It is not used during school due to school policies I cant even get ahold of her unless I call the school, and at home, she is on Wi-Fi or her iPad. Despite having data turned off, I was charged $50 again, I'm wondering who else has a $25 account with Telus and them giving unjustified charges. I can only imagine how many seniors or children's parents are experiencing this, seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen if others can check your billing data and not just the bill. They're scamming me and trying to say there is data being used, how so if it's shut off!Solved973Views0likes2CommentsTechnician Scam
Had a technician visit 2 weeks ago for home services and he sold me on a great sounding mobility plan, when i switched from Bell EPP. I asked explicitly if I could use my Apple Watch with this contract and if this counts towards a discount for my home services. Turns out now there is no way of using the plan with my Apple Watch, it doesn’t count towards a discount on the home service, only mentioned the $60 connection fee after already transferring the number, a rep on the phone told me that I could have signed up for an unlimited plan for less, in the end I’m basically now paying more for less and I’m screwed on the Apple Watch connection. However phone reps are not letting me out of the contract or let me change it. Good reminder to never let a rep or tech let you sell something you haven’t read the fine print on … 1 month in and already can’t wait to switch away from Telus. Anonymous, if you let techs sell stuff please make sure they actually know what their selling …2.5KViews0likes2Comments
