Telus has been calling me twice a day to sell the Telus mobility services, ever since I enrolled for Telus home service. Each time it is from a different number hence not possible to screen the calls. They convinced me to consider a discounted connection offer as am a Telus home service customer. Sent me SIM card and promised repeatedly that I have time to consider till the activation of the SIM card. As I will only be charged once the SIM is activated. That was not true. Then they charged me for the unactivated SIM card. I called them and they confirmed the charges are dropped. Again a lie. And now they have sent the case to action collection. Never thought I have to see this day. I would like to complain via this forum as I have been made to believe lie after lie by the on call support. I would like to claim damages and distress caused by Telus with repeated calls and lies. How do you do business if you allow your own customer service to convey lies and misinformation to your own customers? I know how, because you have the market monopoly!53Views0likes4CommentsHow to identify Telus service calls?
I'm worried: A couple of days ago I had several calls from people in India claiming they were from Telus. They knew my name, address, and account number. I thought "Ok, maybe they really are Telus account managers". But now I'm not so sure. If they really were official Telus accounts people, why don't they use their real names? Because when you hear somebody with a big Indian accent say their name is "Alex" or "Norman", aren't people going to think "Sure dude, those are common Indian names" and roll their eyes? That's what we're supposed to do when we get called by scammers, right, Telus? I did get another call back from somebody else who sounded like they were legit, and answered all my questions. BUT. It's been three days already, and I see one minor change to our TV/Internet package. The one important change I asked for has not been done, and we've received no conformation email from Telus. (Yes, I checked my spam folder.) Frankly, we're talking about finding a more responsive provider.71Views0likes1CommentPhone Return Issue
On October 1 got a call from telus offering to lower my senior mom mobile bill. Needless to say she ended up with the person shipping her a new phone. She received a return label and sent the phone back through purolator. Now she has a $140 month bill. (My senior mom can't afford this!) From $23 a month. I called telus on her behalf and they have not received the phone, so they won't do anything. Is there anyway to remove those charges from her account?113Views0likes5CommentsTelus sent me to collection agency without contacting me
I received a mail from General Credit Services Inc stated that they have been contracted as the authorized collection agency because I own $1919.58 to TELUS CORPORATION PAYROLL I do recognize that the account number shown on the mail is indeed the T-ID I was assigned but I have left Telus more than 2 years ago, and not a single word from Telus, all of sudden I was sent to collection for something I never heard of? I tried to contact Telus to find out what’s going on, but giving that all the number I can find is for customer service and I clearly don’t have any active account so nobody can tell me anything. The nice ladies I had been talking to both assumed this is a scam letter. But given that the T-ID was actually shown on the letter I’m hoping someone from Telus could help me with this please. At least tell me the reason for this not so small amount please. 😭 Thank you very much for your attention to this matter. I got a call from the following number 604 828 4342 and was offered a mobile + home internet for $88.99/mo. Gave my email address and the person sent me an email (picture above) regarding the deal. As I was going over the information in email, the person kept on pushing me to confirm the deal. It felt sketchy so I replied "I'll pass on this" and hung up. Any idea if it was legit?115Views0likes1CommentWhy did Telus send my outstanding balance to collections before statement due date?
They sent my outstanding balance to collections, effectively screwing my credit, less than one week after I suspended my services. The due date on my final bill, which was never actually sent to me by email OR snail mail, is September 24th. The current billing cycle is for a month that I didn't have any services through them. This is absurd.101Views0likes1CommentWhose Protection Matters?
I called Telus to add my partner as an authorized user on my account. I went through a long security process to have my identity verified to do this. I was then asked by the agent about another user on the account. I immediately thought, "another user?". I had been the owner of this account for over 4 years. The account was transferred to me by an old roommate when she moved from our apartment, and my current partner moved in. I inquired if that was the name she was referring to, and the agent would not confirm. The agent refused to confirm or tell me who else had been authorized to be on the account (MY ACCOUNT). This is appalling. She finally told me that the name started with an F and was hard to pronounce, but she had already removed it, so I shouldn't worry. I am so infuriated. I should not worry? This person had access to information and services that I had to go through a long phone call wait time and an extensive security process to access. So I am left asking, "whose security Telus?", since it definitely does not feel like my rights and privacy are respected. Has anyone else experienced such bizarre treatment? What is the secret here? I am beginning to doubt Telus more than I did prior. I think I'll start looking for other providers.46Views1like2CommentsIs the number +18338960450 a legit telus customer service/ sales phone number
