My rewards not working

Whenever I try to redeem a reward an error pop up cones up that says current unavailable to process this. I've tried the app, website, incognito modd, etc. What is the issue?

Does it say something along the lines of 'There was an error processing your redemption!' or something different? 

It says "You are temporarily unable to redeem this item"

Says that for everything I try to redeem.

Mines isn’t working either. Have been trying for days to redeem a gift card and the page refuses to load once I click redeem.

Hi TELUS Support, I am having the same issue. Tried calling and the IVR system mentioned to message support, so here I am. No matter what reward, browser or call/text option I try I get the following error message:

 

You are temporarily unable to redeem this item. You may please try again later.

 

Please help a guy out! Thanks!

@TELUS_Support can you please message me with info too? I received the same message for three days "You are temporarily unable to redeem this item. You may please try again later." I spent two days going in circles via "support" on the My Telus app (every time it asked if I wanted a call back it would take me back to the beginning asking what service I wanted a call back regarding!). Today, I phoned Telus and after he redeemed for one item on my behalf, when I tried again myself it said there was no phone number registered for my account. The person on the phone confirmed there was a phone number registered, but it still wouldn't work. I spent two hours on the phone today, was finally able to redeem my points before they expire, but am still no further forward in terms of being able to redeem them myself if I want to. Please help. How does one register their phone number when apparently it's already registered?

I have a rewards code for Easy Roam - 30 day Voucher with 50% discount... 

 

However, when I text my unique code to 7626 (copy and paste directly from the email) the message returned to me says "Looks like you've responded with an incorrect keyword.  Text SAVE to check services. Free TELUS msg.

 

I redeemed 255 points for something that wont load - HELP me pls!!!

@FlyGirl the unique code may have hyphens in it; have you tried texting 7626 the code both with and without the hyphen(s)?

No, there is NO hyphens, I literally cut and pasted the code - TWICE I may add (as I got Telus to refund me the points after 2 hours on the phone) and then went and REBOUGHT the same promotion, and the NEW code has the SAME error...grrr. 

 

To repeat there is NO hyphen in the code they text you...none.  So not sure what you refer to when you ask about hyphens.

 

What would be fantastic is that you, or one of your colleagues, reaches out to me via email or here, and helps me to resolve before the Jaan 30th deadline...

My Telus Rewards is not working.  They (Telus) are planning to take away all my points (accumulated for years) earned prior to 2024 (a bogus scam by Telus!) as of January 30, 2025. So I am trying to use them up, and of course Telus Rewards is not letting me do it.  I try to buy Esso gift cards, Home Depot gift cards, etc. and I get the message "You are temporarily unable to redeem this item.  Please try again later."  That is shameful, Telus.  Is that part of your plan to make sure we lose our points?  And to add insult to injury, most of the gift cards and Rewards I really want are "Out of Stock."  Well done, Telus.

I know, it's super aggravating and insulting...I have been a Telus customer since 1995 I believe, maybe even longer...I guess thats my fault for being so loyal.

 

We live in a kill or be killed world these days, where loyalty is a dead thing that nobody cares about, so I guess I should get on that train.

That's correct, Telus Reward points earned before December 31, 2023 are going to expire on January 30, 2025. You wouldn't have known about this unless you read the fine print at the bottom of your December Telus home services bill (paper or pdf versions).

 

"As of January 30, 2025, points accumulated up to December 31, 2023 will no longer be retained. Points earned in 2024 will not be impacted."

 

I had about 120 points in my account so I redeemed 115 points toward a $100 bill credit. Very nice, but the same reward used to cost only 100 points a couple years ago! I noticed the prices of the gift cards have increased as well... a $100 gift card used to be 100 points and now it costs 115 points! Is it going to be 130 points next year? 150 points? Very disappointing.

 

What happens to the reward points that people have collected prior to December 31, 2023 and are not able to redeem? Or they don't redeem because they didn't see the fine print? Are they going to be compensated with bill credits? Are the accumulated funds going to be donated to charity? Or is Telus just going to be keeping them and putting the $$$ towards their own bottom line?
