30-Day Late Reported From Bring-It-Back Charge — Unable to Reach Correct TELUS Team
I’m posting here because after multiple attempts over the past two months, I’ve been unable to resolve a credit reporting issue through customer service. id like to note that, I have consistently paid my regular TELUS service bills on time The issue arose from a Bring-It-Back device balance (~$400) that was billed after my normal payment due date • I could not pay the full surprise charge immediately, but I made additional payments anyway • I proactively contacted TELUS and arranged a formal 6-month payment plan, which is active and being paid as agreed • I recently made an additional $150 payment on top of the plan Despite this, TELUS has reported the account as 30 days late to both Equifax and TransUnion. This was not a missed service payment, but a delayed device charge that was addressed in good faith under an agreed repayment arrangement. I have called TELUS several times to resolve this. Each time, I reach offshore customer rep who are courteous but do not have the authority to review or correct credit reporting, and unable to escalate this to a credit reporting team. This has left me stuck in a loop with no effective resolution, despite my efforts to stay current and work with TELUS. I am requesting assistance from TELUS escalation / credit reporting support to review this case and consider a goodwill correction. Can't find an appropriate place to put this, so I'm putting it here. About two months ago I had several fraudulent charges on the credit card I had registered with Telus to pay my account automatically. I used it at several places, so I didn't know which retailer my card number was stolen from. CC company cancelled the old card and sent a new one. I registered the new card on my Telus account, and this is the ONLY place I have used it. Got notification from my credit card company tonight the new card has fraudulent charges on it. I have the 5G+ Complete Canada-US-Mexico-Caribbean plan but I cannot find anywhere on the Telus website as to the actual countries this plan covers with no added charges. I am leaving on a cruise in 3 weeks and would like to confirm before I go. I live in the USA. My son in Canada gifted me an Iphone 14 that previously used Tellus in Canada. I was able to set it up with T -mobile but it is not working. I have contacted both the genius bar at the Apple store and T-mobile. Tried a new sim card but it won't activate. T-mobile has concluded that previous carrier (Tellus) has maintained some sort of block on the phone even though the phone indicates that there is no block. Is it possible the phone has been blacklisted by Tellus for some reason. I have wasted hours over the last week trying to resolve an issue that Telus caused by failing to link my accounts when I added a line. I was on the phone with the Telus rep (who was very helpful at the time) for over an hour to get the line up and running. Two hours later he phoned back to say that the account wasn’t linked and could I hold while he transferred me to someone to fix it. Well I was on hold forever, on my way to an appointment, and had to hang up before anyone picked up the phone. Since then I have been trying to get through the AI assistant to schedule a call with an actual person to no avail. This is the most frustrating system I have ever encountered. Meanwhile they are sending me messages on the new cell telling me to finish setting up the phone when I can’t because the accounts haven’t been linked. I tried to message a real agent but they haven’t replied (and I have been patient and waited for days), and I’ve tried to schedule a future callback only to be told that the service is unavailable. I was with Public Mobile, and never had any problems upgrading to use my phone for US trips, but there was a sale and I had recently switched to Telus for home Internet, so I figured why not take the discount for more data and US coverage for my upcoming trip. I'm now on said trip and can't receive text messages. It says they need to be downloaded but they never download. This, after having three different phone calls because they didn't know how to sort out activating the new eSim. This is why I went to Public Mobile in the first place, and I miss them already. We have been trying to contact Telus for years to see about a Micro tower to boost signal in our area. Cellular service is not a luxury, it is necessary for commerce, safety, security and could be a serious matter if contacting emergency officials in the event of an incident. Restoration Lands Inc. has invested heavily and has just completed infrastructure in Partnership with Telus to install Fiber along Learmouth road and our industrial park. RLI's goal; is to see 1000 jobs on this site when it is fully built out. We know that all of the companies and employees, as well as all of the neighbors will benefit from improved services as the existing tower is blocked by a hill, which is the culprit from the poor network. Hi, I originally was subscribing to disney+ through TELUS and then I saw a promo on the stream+ bundle. I ended by disney+ subscription and then signed up for the bundle, there was a bit of a overlap between when my disney+ account expired and when the bundle started but I figured I could just activate the disney portion of the bundle after. Except now that I am trying to activate it, the "activate" button in mytelus for disney just does nothing (I also never received an email), like no error or anything, just nothing. I've tried multiple computers, browsers, on my phone and clearing my cache and cookies. I've reached out to TELUS multiple times with no luck and even the subscriptions team however they keep sending me to disney for help. I've talked to 4 separate disney agents all telling me it has to be something on the TELUS end as they don't see anything on their side. TELUS keeps telling me the opposite and giving me a reference number for a case at Disney which Disney keeps saying doesn't exist. Anyone else experienced this? My spouse recently received a winback offer from Koodo/TELUS. As part of that offer, the agent also extended a very attractive deal to move my number to TELUS, since I was in the market for a new phone. The agent offered me a great promotion on a Samsung Galaxy S25+. My registration was completed successfully, including the credit check. However, when I received the contract, the details did not match what had been discussed. I contacted support, and after being transferred to a winback agent, they helped cancel the incorrect order and place a new one with the correct terms. I paid for the order and received the updated contract, which matched the agreed offer. After that, there were no updates on the order for two days, so I contacted support again. I was then informed that the second order had also been cancelled. The reason provided was that additional documentation was required to process the order. While I understand the need for verification, I believe the order should have been placed on hold and I should have been contacted proactively to complete the required steps, rather than having it cancelled without notice. At this point, it feels like TELUS may be unwilling to honor the offer that was originally made, and the order was cancelled unfairly. I’m hoping someone can review my case and help reinstate the same offer as promised. My account is linked to the same email address, should you need to review the details.
