Simple Share Plan Question

My wife and I both have Telus cell phones and we don't use much data at all.  With the Simple Share 5 gig plan can the 2nd phone on a Family plan just subscribe to the $35 Talk & Text plan and share the 5 gig data from the first phone?  I'm trying to reduce costs as much as possible ... don't feel like paying for more than I actually use ... Thanks.

The talk & Text plan would not have access to data. If you order 2 x Simple Share 5GB plans you get $5 off each (plus a 2 month discount of $32.50 on each). So you would pay $130 per month, vs $70+$35=$105. The $32.50 discount effectively nets you 1 month free.
