Black Friday, a Written Quote, and a Two-Month Bait-and-Switch
I’m posting this to see whether others have had similar experiences and to highlight what feels like a clear bait and switch or, at best, serious internal incompetence. My TELUS services were up for renewal. Over several weeks, I received multiple calls from offshore representatives. While I respect offshore support teams. Later in November 2025 a call from Patrick He offered the following in writing, dated November 28, 2025: CAN–US–MEX Unlimited 100GB shareable 4 mobile lines at $30 per line iPhone 17s at $10 per phone Two TELUS/Bell fibre internet connections at $75 We agreed to proceed.Shortly after, the internet contract arrived and it was wrong. We requested corrections repeatedly. None came. Despite emails prompting us to “connect services,” we never received finalized contracts for mobile or internet. After requesting escalation, we were later told by another agent that the offer was “fraudulent” and that Patrick was a fraudster. Here’s where it gets absurd: someone else in my office accepted the same offer and received four Nubia Flip 2 phones (~$800 each) with TELUS SIM cards. If the offer was fraudulent, how did TELUS ship real hardware through their own systems? After two months, 50+ emails, and countless calls, another rep confirmed Patrick was a TELUS employee. The final response reframed the issue as if I were asking for a competitor price match—which I was not. I simply expect TELUS to honor a written offer made by their own representative. Has anyone else experienced written offers later denied, reps disowned, or deals reframed as “price matching” after the fact? I’m still open to resolving this reasonably—but honoring a written agreement should not be controversial.Thank you1View0likes0CommentsBring it back bait and switch
Signed a 2 yr contract with Telus with the bring it back program. At the end of the contract I decided to switch providers because of poor telus coverage in my area and significant lower cost. I have since received a large bill to payoff the phones. I would love to return the phones as per the contract but this seems to be impossible. Stores won't take them and all my calls are met with 1 hour plus on hold until I give up.96606 hours agoJust Moved In6Views0likes0CommentsAtrocious and Unstable Signal & Bandwidth in Whistler
This appears to be a community-wide issue in Whistler. There have been many conversations and complaints on social media and speaking with friends on Telus/Koodo who are experiencing major disruption of service. Can anyone at Telus provide information as to why I’m getting no signal/SOS throughout Whistler, or at least escalate this to someone who does? I can’t justify paying for this service when I’m not getting any, and on the occasion I get 1-2 bars of “5G” service, the bandwidth speeds are so slow I feel like I’m on dial up in 1999. It’s been bad for a long time, and significantly so in the last few weeks. I understand that population grows significantly around this time of year, and can impact service speeds, but this is ridiculous. Get the technicians out here to resolve this once and for all.SOS_Whistler22 hours agoJust Moved In7Views0likes0CommentsBulk discounted price scam
The idea that I would be charged to pay for the difference between Telus bulk discount on the phones and the retail price after over 360 months as a Telus customer is silly. Why silly? Telus is treating me like a johnny come lately customer one that would take the phones and move on to another service provider. Since I am recently unemployed I elected to pay off the phones to reduce my family monthly costs. I recognize that it is in my contract. I had not planned for the massive bill created by paying off this discounted rate. After 360 months I thought my continued customer value was worthy of being negated by this cash grab of paying off this discounted rate. Just tell me I am not a valued customer and that you won't refund this cash grab! If I don't get the refund in the next 5 business days I will seek out a new service provider. We are no longer on contracts with Telus.Mark762 days agoNeighbour10Views0likes0CommentsPossible Scam call + emails after ordering phone online?

I received a call, on two separate occasions. From someone claiming to be with Telus. Offering a certain promo. For a cheaper plan, and to upgrade to an iphone 17 pro max for free. I ended up disconnecting the call, before they got any of my payment information. But I am wondering if anyone has received a call like this before?Bpaul2042 days agoNeighbour24Views0likes2Comments#telus no internet

Hi all, I’m trying to determine if others are seeing the same issue. I rely on TELUS Mobility conditional call forwarding using GSM codes: *61*<forwarding number>*<timeout># – forward when unanswered *62*<forwarding number># – forward when unreachable *67*<forwarding number># – forward when busy This was configured yesterday and worked earlier in the day. Then around 8 PM PST last night it stopped working. Since then, all calls route directly to TELUS Mobility voicemail instead of forwarding, even when: ・the phone is left to ring with no interaction ・the call is ignored ・or a quick text reply is sent Verified behavior: ・Unconditional forwarding (*21*<number>#) still works ・The problem is only with conditional forwarding codes ・Lowering the *61* timeout to 15 seconds did not forward Questions ・Have other TELUS Mobility subscribers recently seen conditional forwarding (*61, *62, *67) fail this way? ・If yes, what device are you using? ・How are you working around voicemail answering before forwarding can trigger? Thanks for any shared experiences or solutions. Nik Edmiidzedmiidz4 days agoOrganizer43Views0likes3Comments
