Just Moved In

Just purchased a Samsung S4 through Telus online store and was charged $15 for a NFC Sim card.  Is this required? Can't I just use the Sim card from my previous Telus mobile?

If the SIM card is of the right size to fit in your new phone and is a 'version 3', you can reuse it.

The standard 'Version 3 SIM' is $10.

The $15 SIM is an NFC card that is used for making NFC purchases by RFID(wireless crap), by storing your credit information in the SIM.

Edit: When ordering online, the system requires a purchase of a SIM card($10 -version 3). To reverse the charge or return the SIM, call Telus support.
