I plan on getting the 100meg prepaid data plan and I use less than 200megs monthly already so it should be less than the 500meg plan even with overages.
10$ for 100meg + 100*.15 = 25$

Okay I changed to the data 10 plan, I'm now wondering how does overages and top ups work, do I have to autotop up more than 10$ every 30 days to cover the possibility of overages?
It's very confusing

I usually manually add a $25 top-up to cover minutes used beyond my $10 data add-on. It just sits there month after month until consumed, as I auto-top-up a $10 amount to cover the cost of a new data add-on every 30 days. You could do similar: add enough dollars in top-ups to cover your expected overage. The excess will roll-over each month, as long as you renew on time. If you put a $25 top-up on your account and use $8.50 of it in data overages and minutes, the remaining $11.50 will be there for the next month. You can set a calendar reminder to top up, or choose a larger automatic top-up amount. The excess remains on you account as long as it remains active.
You have to have excess cash in your account to avoid falling into arrears and losing accumulated cash. So yes, you need to add more money in advance to your account to cover any overages which might occur.
