I need a Smartphone that works the best for remote locations. This is for the West Coast of Vancouver Island, B.C.
with 150 Ft. Trees. According to the Coverage Zone map the area is between 4G HSPA+ to 4GDC-HSPA+.
My old flip phone with Telus needed an external antennae attached to it so the signal strength would be strong enough to send and receive calls.

Hi Bp14,
Various factors such as terrain, interference, line of sight and proximity to the towers can affect your device's signal. Boosters can definitely help and are often utilized in structures where signal penetration is poor. You can also test those areas with a current phone before committing as most stores give you a 14 day return policy (check with the store beforehand though).
