While these channels in Theme Packs are ostensibly connected by themes, it seems that many are not the case and haphazardly arranged into what is NOT a theme. Take Favourite Films for example. This Theme Pack has a paltry three channels in it. When IFC was still an available channel, it was included but then removed and not replaced with anything. Why not add MovieTime to this "theme" where it appropriately belongs? Another good example is Mezzo, a music channel but is included in a "Knowledge" theme pack. It seems that Telus is putting channels together haphazardly and calling them Themes when there is no theme to them. Let pik tv be installed on other Android TV devices. There are more powerful Android TV devices out there and it would be great if I could use pik tv in those (ie Nvidia shield, mibox). It would be nice if Telus could add the Cloud DVR feature for the tv service kind of like what Shaw has right now with their Bluecurve TV app. This allows you to watch and record a show on the go within the app or the website and still have these shows synced with the set-top boxes at home.  ... The rights to Major League Baseball Playoffs seem to be shared between Sportsnet and the MLB Network.  MLB Network is now available in Canada, but is seemingly only available on Rogers Cable systems in eastern Canada.  There are no options available to baseball fans and Telus customers in western Canada who want to watch these playoff games.     It would be like NHL Network having the rights to part of the hockey playoffs, but no one carried the channel, so the game couldn't be viewed.     Please add MLB Network as soon as possible, before anymore playoff games are missed!   ... Every week, it seems, I come across another sale to try and bring in new customers. Such as "get a free TV if you sign up!" and so forth. I am not able to take advantage of those offers as an existing and loyal customer, and that irritates me. My contract with Telus has been up for several years and, here I am, waiting for ANY sort of reward or offer. The points system sucks because it takes FOREVER to earn them. Plus, you can only get an Amazon gift card once a month. I don't want crummy points to gamble away on draws that I can never win. I want Telus to say, "You know what? You've been a great customer for decades and we've made tens of thousands of dollars from having you as a customer. We've noticed your contract with us has expired, too, and there's basically zero reason for you to stick with us over the other guys. So, if you sign another two year contract for TV and Internet services, you can get a free TV/laptop/whatever. Thanks for not choosing to move to another service provider! Koodo Customers able to add unlimited talk and text while roaming in the USA but TELUS customers can't? Apple announced the forthcoming release of iOS 8 today, coming this fall. One of the new features is wifi calling – where you can make voice calls and send SMS messages over a wifi connection instead of the cellular network. This would be a great feature to have in areas where cell signal is weak or nonexistent, but wifi is available. For example, at home I am in a weak Telus area (most of the time I cannot sustain a clear call for more than a few seconds at a time), but obviously I have great wifi through my home network.   T-Mobile in the US has already announced support for wifi calling when iOS 8 is publicly released. With credit to @KennyR for raising it, the notice that Telus is forcing all Optik TV online logins to use the MyTelus login is concern. From a parent's perspective, if I want to let my kids use Optik TV on their mobile devices as they get older, I'll have to give them the password to my actual account. There needs to be a way to set up alternate accounts associated with the MyTelus account, that cannot make changes to my actual account info.  ... View more

Hi all,    When will the Optik On the Go website be updated to not use Adobe Flash?   All browsers have deprecated Flash support now, and it's a struggle to enable it.  When it is enabled, the website constantly stutters and cuts out.  The iOS and Android apps work fine.   Are there plans to upgrade the site to use HTML5 or release a Windows app instead?  I've asked this question several times but your frontline reps don't have an answer  ... TELUS should implement a Loyalty Pricing program for internet & TV customers that have completed their contractors. Rather than renewing a contract that is designed to attract new customers, low prices in the first term and higher in the second term, a Loyalty contract would be designed to hold their loyal customers. The pricing of the monthly services could be close to, or slightly less than the monthly average price of a 2 year New Customer contract (less is better).
