I just had to give up my Shaw Gateway I had for a decade, as Shaw is no longer with us. I got the Telus Tv. I am very surprised how this Telus system is so far behind of what I had 10 years ago, and this costs more. Telus doesn’t have slow motion playback, recording options like start time and stop time, high speed forward or reverse, and not even a Stop button. I find it annoying that when you are finished watching a show it keeps playing because you can’t stop it until you pick something else. Telus Tv has taken a step back more than 10 years with their antiquated system, and the price they charge for this is serious gouging. When my contract is up I will shop elsewhere if they do not get their systems modernized.

In the last month, I’ve had two extended power outages, one lasting 6 hours and this past weekend for 9 hours. After the first one, my ONT kept beeping so Telus sent me a replacement battery. After the most recent outage, it started beeping again and there are no support articles to problem solve it or provide an automated way to request a new battery. Having an automated option would be nice, as I’m expecting to spend an hour on hold to address it.

There’s a pile of posts from over the last 3 years all asking to allow users to remove/disable/password protect apps so children cannot just instantly access YouTube and other such sites using the app menu. Sure I password protected the channel but my 3 year old figured out in under 2 minutes how to click the app button and click YouTube- never mind the 5 and 8 year old. It is terrible that Telus has not addressed this. I’ve been a customer for more than 15 years and I’m ready to cancel over this.

The large green status bar at the bottom of the screen hides important text information on the tv when pause is pressed or FF/RW. During the news hour for example, names of people being interviewed or locations of events is hidden from view because the large green status bar covers it. Closed captions for movies are located at the bottom of the screen and are also covered by the large green status bar. If you press play, it takes 6 seconds for the status bar to disappear and then it’s often too late to read the information, resulting in a need to rewind again, only to have this occur again. If the location of the status bar was located at the top of the screen, it would not hide most network text. Better yet, if the user had the choice to move the status bar, that would be very convenient. Please consider this.

It should be simple for Telus to mark a customer's file when they receive requested equipment returns so that an "Important Reminder: Please return your TELUS equipment" email is not auto-generated weeks after Telus received the equipment. Including "If you have already returned your equipment, we sincerely appreciate your cooperation! Please disregard this message." is not acceptable. Customers then wonder did someone at Telus steal the equipment I sent back? Am I going to get charged and have to waste hours of everybody's time proving the equipment was returned?

When is TELUS going to add Smart Garage® Control MYQ-G0401-ESMC Older versions are available. This version is available to Alarm.com customers why is it not available for TELUS Home Security customer (essentially the same system). The compatibility list and current hardware devices are not being updated for newer hardware available. The hardware is not keeping up with new technologies and options, the system not being updated to be Future Friendly vary often.

I just recently subscribed to a package deal which includes telus tv +. I only watch tv through ''Edge'' on my xbox, or access other apps like Netflix, Disney or Prime the same way. Unfortunately when I want to use my telus tv +, I always get an error '' Playback on this browser is not supported'', I can see the guide and everything, but each time I click to run whatever tv show from the guide list, I get that error message. Any clue how this can be resolved please? Thanks in advance.

I don't believe this exists in connect app as of now, but it would be nice to have a quarantine feature. Any new device connecting to the network being unable to access any data over the Wi-Fi until it is approved in the app by the client would really improve security. Shouldn't even be that hard to implement. Just have any new device Automatically paused if it doesnt connect using WPS maybe? Would love to see this feature implemented in some fashion.

My google email/Telus email with which I use in accessing Telus got compromised. I'll really appreciate any help on how I can change the email to a new one, thanks.
