Mobility Performance in Vancouver - West Coast Express
since the ideas section is gone I wanted to put out there an opinion that Telus needs to improve network performance along the West Coast Express route between Port Moody and Vancouver. The signal strength is so weak and it’s impossible to have a sustained signal along the route. It’s especially unfortunate in the case of train stoppages, meaning you cannot contact anyone.43Views0likes1CommentDoes the Fibre equipment need the battery backup to work?
I’ve had two major power outages in the last month and after both the battery backup for my ONT beeps incessantly. Given this keeps happening, I’m wondering if the equipment needs the battery or can it work without it. I know it’s there for home phone service during a power outage but I only have cordless phones so I can’t use the equipment anyways. I’m just tired of having to spend an extended time on hold with support to find a resolution. Nighthawk TELUS_Support any thoughts would be helpful.Solved2.7KViews0likes4CommentsFibre ONT battery back up beeping after power outage
Hi folks, My house was hit with an extended power outage during the BC storms Tuesday night. when my power came back, the ONT battery back up started beeping and the alarm silence isn’t working. I’m assuming this means the actual battery has died. Can anyone confirm? GBGSolved1.7KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Reminder email returning equipment - But it's already received by Telus
I had this happen after I returned TV equipment. The email came months after I returned my equipment and I ignored it but haven't heard anything since. If you're really concerned about being charged, I'd recommend using the chat function on the website.1.9KViews0likes3CommentsModem Replacement Through Telus
Hi folks, I had the older white wifi hub, but ended up needing to be replaced by Telus due to equipment failure. To my surprise, they replaced it with the even older T3200. Is this normal practice? I was expecting to get the newer WiFi 6E hub. Appreciate any thoughts or experiences others have had.802Views0likes0CommentsRemoving the fibre cable from the Alcatel-Lucent ONT
Hey folks. I have my fibre equipment mounted on a wall in my garage. It has gotten in the way of repurposing my garage, however, and I want to move it into a new cabinet. Is it possible to remove the fibre cables from the ONT, without causing damage or needing special equipment. I’m hesitant to try and risk messing my equipment without knowing. I’ve placed images below. For those wondering, the equipment was originally in my living room, thrown on the floor (literally loose in a jumble of wires). My kid was a baby when we moved in and she started attacking the gear so I paid Telus ($400) to move it to my garage. Now it is just in the way and I’d love to move it. The cabinet seems like the easy solution, especially if I grommet a hole.Solved1.7KViews0likes1Comment
