Fibre optic service box installed on private property
Ledcor assumed our property was common property, it is bare condo land and we have titles and property lines, They installed this in our side yard while we were gone, there is no easement or utility right of way in this location. Request it be moved, as an eye sore and placed only a few feet from our deck. I sent a email to fibreconnect.com who passed it onto Ledcor who didn't contact me until after all hooked up to and states now live and won't move further up so it's out of our sight but still on our property. If their looking for new customers in our neighborhood there not going to get it as the town of High River is not happy.DMFELL20268 hours agoNeighbour34Views0likes1CommentLooking for help to reduce pricing or get better value
I have 1.5gig internet (with some add-ons, security, etc... that I never asked for or used ever). I recently had a promotion sent to my work inbox for a 5 year price lock plan at $85 CAD for 3gig fibre internet, which I'd love to change to. Currently paying over $120/month for 1.5gig, any my contract ends in about a year. Is there a loyalty department I can talk to to try to either 1) lower my bill with the promotional credits that fell off, or 2) cancel this plan and get better internet for a lower cost? Sick of having to do this every year or two with any telecom company. It's such an unsustainable business model, I don't know how this is standard practice. I can't talk to anyone via email or chat, it has to be through the phone where I'm often on hold. Why is working with a communications company so difficult to communicate with? The irony.Wuurbz15 hours agoFriendly Neighbour30Views0likes1CommentOriginal Telus email address 1999?
I was cancelling my Telus internet but arranging to keep my email address when we ran into a problem. Apparently the address I was using is an alias created after Telus assigned me a 1A1****@telus.net as start up email in the late 1990's. I vaguely remember they gave you the ID and then you proceeded to choose your own combination for an address. The address I have been using for years does not show as an existing email on their system, but does how attached to the 1A1****@telus.net (along with 2 other alias' I had set up) I tried sending an email to the 1A1 address but it bounced back as "undeliverable and not found in the destination domain". I was hoping Support would have an "old timer" that remembers the system or if it has anything to do with the Gmail migration. The Rep promised to escalate it but sometimes these issues get lost. Thanks for any helpeireen16 hours agoOrganizer30Views0likes2CommentsPossible to Halt Billing After 2 Year Contract?
Hey, so I am under a 2 year contract for my wifi. I want to close my account immediately once the 2 year contract is done because Telus is trying to open an AI data centre in my city. I don't want my money going to them anymore but can't afford the contract closure fee. Has anyone does this before or should I just call near the completion of the contract? Thank you!22Views0likes1CommentMyTELUS app showing wrong "Primary" name and number after EPP setup
Hi everyone, I just set up a brand new EPP plan with TELUS, but I’m running into a really annoying issue. Even though the account is entirely in my name, the MyTELUS app header shows my dad’s phone number under my name. When I tap that top bar to view accounts, his name and number show up there as well, making it look like he is the primary owner. I’ve spent the day being bounced around. Tech support told me that my dad's number is the main line, but they couldn't help because it's an EPP plan and to call that department instead. When I finally reached EPP support, they insisted my line is definitely the main one and that the app is just "showing it differently." I find that hard to believe. I want my own info to show up at the top of my own account. What's weird is that in the "Plans" section of the app, both of our names and numbers are assigned perfectly. It’s literally just the main dashboard and the account selector that are messed up. Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there actually a way to fix the primary display number, or am I stuck with this glitch?pskang17 hours agoNeighbour54Views0likes3CommentsPlease help, I am still waiting for purolator waybill
I have already cancelled my services a few months back and contacted with Telus multiple times to get a purator lable. but I still didn't recieve the label. I still have telus equipment sitting in my basement in dust. I would like to send them back. Would appreciate some assistance with this as the ai chat bot is useless and I am done waiting on hold to discuss the same thing/get the run around. Thanks.Credit derogatory mark
I noticed a derogatory mark in my credit score from Telus so I recently contacted them to ask about details and history and they told me they were unable to provide the bill and details as my account has been locked and turned over to creditors. Granted, I haven’t had a home account with Telus in 3 years and my last bill record I have shows a clear balance and closed our account as we cancelled services. So I called the creditor they provided me details with and they also said they have no bill details to provide me and that I need to contact Telus. So I am being thrown in circles with no answers and now this is affecting my credit. How do I get this removed from my credit if no one is willing to work with me?Possible Scam Text
I just got a text from a 4 digit number (7626) and the message is as follows: "TELUS: Welcome to USA! You have Easy Roam with a daily charge of $14. You'll only be charged on days you access your Canadian plan's data, send a text, make or answer a call, or check voicemail. Easy Roam will be valid until 11:59pm local time in the destination where you are travelling. To see the full list of what is included and excluded with Easy Roam, visit telus.com/travel or login to My TELUS. Plus, Easy Roam comes with an exclusive travel perk: TELUS Health MyCare Travel provides free 24/7 access via phone to U.S. Registered Nurses while in the U.S. Learn more: bit.ly/3zeiqnp If you don?t want to incur roaming charges, set your phone on airplane mode to prevent all cellular network usage." I went near the border today, but was never in the US. Also, more importantly, the data roaming on my phone is turned off, and always has been. If you get this message, make sure you check your account through the verified Telus app. Telus does not send messages like this, especially with typos (notice how it says "don?t" and how the link is a bit.ly link? That's not a real Telus link. They are trying to get login details from confused people who don't know why they are being charged. And honestly, the emails look actually quite close to legitimate without noticing the small details. If you got this text and you tried to sign into your Telus account on that bit.ly link, then I would seriously advise changing your login credentials just to be safe. I saw this and didn't want anyone to be suckered by it. Cheers!SolvedSteinesShopa2 days agoFriendly Neighbour13KViews0likes8CommentsCrave TV issues
I have a subscription to the Crave Premium but I can’t access all content or download shows on my IPad. This happens frequently in which I am able to sign in and everything will work fine and then I’ll get locked out. I can sign in and watch free content but many shows are still locked out. I checked my Telus account and I am paying for premium so I should be able to watch anything on Crave. I can’t understand why I keep getting locked out. I can’t be the only person with this problem.BigG6673 days agoNeighbour164Views0likes4CommentsINCONSISTENT BILLING - MULTIPLE "AGREEMENTS"
I am wondering if anyone else is fed up with a communication company that doesn't communicate? I have had to go to the CCTS for one problem that eventually was sorted out regarding different amounts every month for my Optik/Internet service despite the fact I didn't change anything or subscribe or rent or "go over". Every month was a battle and trying to get them to honour the original contract was impossible, even then I was paying more than the original contract. Now I come up for renewal and am told my service expires a month before the contract - was actually told by a phone rep (real person???) my internet expires a month before my TV - go figure. I am a senior on limited income and need to know my monthly payments where possible will be the same. The last 7 months after CCTS finally have consistent billing. There are multilple "agreements" in my account so far in this term 2024 - 2026 alone! Pricing is all over the place. Anyone else have this problem?MH235 days agoFriendly Neighbour51Views0likes5Comments
