Will we be charged for email if we change from Telus to Koodo?

When we lived in BC we had home internet and mobility plans with Telus. When we moved to Nova Scotia, we kept our Telus mobility plans but changed our internet to Bell because there was no Telus home internet service here. To keep our emails, Telus created a home dial-up account that has three charges of $7 each for three email addresses and three discounts of $7 each called "Mobile internet email discount" - so we don't pay anything per month. My assumption then is that as long as we have our mobility services with Telus, we get our three emails that were attached to our home internet for free.

We are looking at switching to Koodo because we live in a rural area that is limited to 4G and we only use a few GB of data each month - why pay for the premium Telus accounts when we can't take advantage of the premium features?

My question is: if we switch to Koodo, will Telus then remove our "Mobile internet email discount" and start charging us $21 per month for our Telus email addresses?

Hi @MycoAstro - Because you would be staying within the TELUS family I don't expect you to be charged for email but we can always double check if you could please send us a private message

You really should migrate to a gmail, outlook, or other major free email system to stop this dependency.  It is difficult to imagine why you would go to so much trouble to keep them.  We went to independent email providers decades ago for this very reason.
