Re: Will we be charged for email if we change from Telus to Koodo?
You really should migrate to a gmail, outlook, or other major free email system to stop this dependency. It is difficult to imagine why you would go to so much trouble to keep them. We went to independent email providers decades ago for this very reason.1.5KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Customer service or lack thereof
Does your phone accept an e-sim? This can now be provisioned over wifi (and if you have one phone already, you can connect the other one to it). Go to the Canada post website and use the postal code lookup, and find out the format for your address there, then try it in Telus. Good luck.1.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Data Download Charge
Telus does not push podcasts to you, it is something your phone pulls off the internet. It is a good idea to tell podcasts to download only on wifi. It is unfortunate but from your post, it looks like you first of all allowed the downloads from a cellular data connection, and obviously you do not have an "unlimited plan" that slows down your connection rather than running up big bills when there is an issue like this. You might want to change your settings or switch plans to prevent this in the future, and if you are talking to Telus in an effort to reduce your bill, I don't recommend blaming them for it.2.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: (999)999-9999 Text
They should find out the company that is sending the SMS texts to them (the carrier of the originator) and block that carrier if they don't clean up their act. This is going to be the only way to fix that. It is quite likely a commercial SMS provider and not a mobile company.25KViews0likes1Comment
