You can retain just the email address as an email-only service but there is a $7/month (as of 20/09/2023) charge associated with it. Be sure to make a specific request to retain email-only service. It's unfortunate that we don't have anything faster to offer her at this time, though.4.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Connection Rejected when trying to send an email to [email protected]
Due to high incidents of spam using email-to-SMS as a vector, we've set filters in place that may affect some messages that contain a URL. You can advise any affected members to contact our technical support team to unflag the domain that might have been flagged by our filters.13KViews0likes2CommentsTELUS Community and Social Media House Rules
We want to be the destination for you to seek and/or offer insights about our products, services, and industry. These house rules are meant to set the tone of the conversation and everyone participating on our online community and/or social media channels are asked to follow them. Protect Your Privacy For your own safety, never post your full name, TELUS account number, phone number, or home address publicly. Our moderators will remove these for your protection. Be Respectful We're all here to learn so please be courteous and treat everyone with respect, including TELUS, our family of companies, and our team. We won’t tolerate attacks and we reserve the right to remove any content that includes: trolling, doxxing, advocating for or encouraging expressions of violence, bigotry, racism or hatred. Your posts and private messages should also be free of profanity and obscenity. People from all walks of life visit Neighbourhood and our social media channels, and we want everyone to feel welcome. Be Constructive and Don't Misinform We're here to listen and to help. Help us help you by keeping your question or concern as concise as possible. Long-winded posts can make it difficult for our team and community members to identify your core issue and provide a timely solution. Please focus on how we can best support you rather than simply taking out your frustrations on us. Making you happy is our goal but we will remove any comments that include false or unsubstantiated allegations. No Marketing and Don't Spam Our social and online communities aren’t the place to market your business or sell your services. Let’s focus on sharing TELUS and/or industry related ideas and questions in this space. We will entertain all legitimate comments, but we won’t tolerate spam, excessive commenting, or cross-posting. Nothing Illegal It should go without saying but illegal content or behaviour is not allowed. Please don’t link or post any copyrighted or pornographic material, and don’t engage in behaviours like harassment, impersonation, intimidation or abuse. TELUS is not responsible for any use of material posted by users. Employees If you’re an employee of TELUS we’d love to hear from you, but we want you to fully disclose your affiliation; please identify yourself as a TELUS team member whenever participating in the discussion. For account verification and to receive an official 'TELUS Team Member' badge, please send a private message to a Community Manager. This will help other members identify and trust you. Moderation Identified by a "Moderator" or "Community Manager" role (tag) beside their username, our team members will use their discretion to help keep everyone on track and in adherence to these rules. At our sole discretion, we will edit and/or remove posts, warn, suspend, and, if necessary, ban commenters that continue to ignore, flaunt or disregard these rules. Enjoy Yourself Remember to enjoy yourself, get involved, and help other community members when you are able to. After all, we built this community for YOU! I'd recommend connecting with technical support for two reasons: - the team can identify a potential issue with the site or - aggregate it with like-issues from others to prioritize a fix In the mean-time, if it's affecting calls within your home, you can set up wifi calling to bridge the gap.6.7KViews1like1CommentHow to Send a Private Message on TELUS Neighbourhood
Private messaging allows direct communication between Neighbourhood members. Follow these steps to send a private message. Sign in to your TELUS Neighbourhood account. If you don't have an account, you'll need to create one first. Send a Private Message From Another Member’s Profile Navigate to the profile of the member you want to message. You can do this by clicking on their username in a post or comment. On the member's profile page, locate and click the Message button. This button is typically found near the top of the profile. A new message window will open. Enter your message in the text box provided. Click Send to deliver your private message to the recipient. The recipient will receive a notification about the new message. They can view and respond to it in their private message inbox. From your inbox Click on the Messages icon at the top right of the webpage. Click on the Create New Message button in the top right corner of your Inbox pane. In the Send to field, type in the username of the member. Press the tab key on your keyboard after typing in the username to format and select the username. Enter a subject and a message to send. Once complete, click on the Send Message button at the bottom. If These Steps Don't Work If you can't find the "Message" button on a user's profile, it's possible that: The user has disabled private messaging in their account settings. Your account doesn't have sufficient privileges to send private messages yet. There may be a temporary technical issue with the messaging feature. *Credit to Neighbourhood members xray for suggesting this topic and Nighthawk for drafting this article.86Views0likes0CommentsComment envoyer un message privé

Fraudulent accounts impersonating TELUS and TELUS Support are increasing on social media platforms. These fake accounts use TELUS branding and imagery to deceive customers into sharing personal information. Follow these steps to verify account authenticity and protect your information. Verify Official TELUS Accounts Confirmed TELUS social media accounts: Facebook: TELUS (blue verification checkmark) Twitter/X: TELUS and @TELUSSupport (verification checkmark) Look for the official verification checkmark on all TELUS accounts before engaging. Identify Fraudulent Accounts What to look out for: Recent creation date: Account created within the last few weeks or months Low follower count: Significantly fewer followers than official accounts (TELUS has hundreds of thousands) Generic username: Random letters, numbers, or unrelated handles instead of "TELUS" or "TELUSSupport" Missing verification: No blue checkmark beside the account name Suspicious requests: Asks for passwords, account numbers, or personal information via direct message Protect Yourself Never share your information with unverified accounts. This can include info like: Account passwords or PINs Credit card numbers Social Insurance Numbers Account numbers Security question answers One-time verification codes If contacted by a suspicious account: Do not respond to the message Do not click any links provided Report the account to the social media platform Block the account When to Contact TELUS If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from TELUS, verify its authenticity by contacting our official verified social media accounts (@TELUS or @TELUSSupport) or calling TELUS customer support directly. Our representatives will confirm whether the communication was legitimate. Report any fraudulent accounts you encounter so we can take action to protect other customers.
