I'd recommend connecting with technical support for two reasons: - the team can identify a potential issue with the site or - aggregate it with like-issues from others to prioritize a fix In the mean-time, if it's affecting calls within your home, you can set up wifi calling to bridge the gap.6.7KViews1like1CommentHow to Send a Private Message on TELUS Neighbourhood
Private messaging allows direct communication between Neighbourhood members. Follow these steps to send a private message. Sign in to your TELUS Neighbourhood account. If you don't have an account, you'll need to create one first. Send a Private Message From Another Member’s Profile Navigate to the profile of the member you want to message. You can do this by clicking on their username in a post or comment. On the member's profile page, locate and click the Message button. This button is typically found near the top of the profile. A new message window will open. Enter your message in the text box provided. Click Send to deliver your private message to the recipient. The recipient will receive a notification about the new message. They can view and respond to it in their private message inbox. From your inbox Click on the Messages icon at the top right of the webpage. Click on the Create New Message button in the top right corner of your Inbox pane. In the Send to field, type in the username of the member. Press the tab key on your keyboard after typing in the username to format and select the username. Enter a subject and a message to send. Once complete, click on the Send Message button at the bottom. If These Steps Don't Work If you can't find the "Message" button on a user's profile, it's possible that: The user has disabled private messaging in their account settings. Your account doesn't have sufficient privileges to send private messages yet. There may be a temporary technical issue with the messaging feature. *Credit to Neighbourhood members xray for suggesting this topic and Nighthawk for drafting this article.35Views0likes0CommentsComment envoyer un message privé

Fraudulent accounts impersonating TELUS and TELUS Support are increasing on social media platforms. These fake accounts use TELUS branding and imagery to deceive customers into sharing personal information. Follow these steps to verify account authenticity and protect your information. Verify Official TELUS Accounts Confirmed TELUS social media accounts: Facebook: TELUS (blue verification checkmark) Twitter/X: TELUS and @TELUSSupport (verification checkmark) Look for the official verification checkmark on all TELUS accounts before engaging. Identify Fraudulent Accounts What to look out for: Recent creation date: Account created within the last few weeks or months Low follower count: Significantly fewer followers than official accounts (TELUS has hundreds of thousands) Generic username: Random letters, numbers, or unrelated handles instead of "TELUS" or "TELUSSupport" Missing verification: No blue checkmark beside the account name Suspicious requests: Asks for passwords, account numbers, or personal information via direct message Protect Yourself Never share your information with unverified accounts. This can include info like: Account passwords or PINs Credit card numbers Social Insurance Numbers Account numbers Security question answers One-time verification codes If contacted by a suspicious account: Do not respond to the message Do not click any links provided Report the account to the social media platform Block the account When to Contact TELUS If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from TELUS, verify its authenticity by contacting our official verified social media accounts (@TELUS or @TELUSSupport) or calling TELUS customer support directly. Our representatives will confirm whether the communication was legitimate. Report any fraudulent accounts you encounter so we can take action to protect other customers. What's a Community Power User? You may have noticed a "CPU" designation attached to the profiles of prominent members in our community. CPUs, or Community Power Users, are customers - just like you - who are passionate about sharing knowledge and collaborative problem-solving. They come from all walks of life and bring their unique experiences into the conversation with the goal of helping you get the most out of your TELUS products and services. Do CPUs Get Perks? Absolutely. We want our most active members to be well-versed in our products and services beyond what they're subscribed to so we hook them up with perks including (but not limited to) the following: Special Permissions: CPUs are provisioned access to features and exclusive areas of our community that are not available to the general public. Products/Services Pilots: We want authentic feedback so we enlist the help of our CPUs during product/service development. Some of the very products you use have input from this group. Access to Internal Team Members: CPUs are a curious bunch so we help them scratch that itch by connecting them to members of our Product Teams. And More: We made this purposely vague. We want to properly recognize their contributions but it's not always a one-size-fits-all approach. We set up the CPUs to understand our entire portfolio of products and services to help you 🙂. How do I Become a CPU? We're always on the look-out for helpful members so we may reach out to recruit you. Alternatively, we may activate an application form right on this page but we're not currently taking submissions. If this role interests you, please keep checking back to this post to see if we've opened up our application form. Who Are They? I'm glad you asked. They're long-time TELUS customers just like you.
