Just Moved In

Just got a call from 778-908-3694 telling me I get a cheaper landline and mobility charge.  They sent me a link which looked really legit to update my password.  (I had to give them my email)  I just got a little suspicious of the whole thing.  I asked how come she didn't know what accounts I have and she said only the billing dept knows and she is from promotions.  Anyway, I just said I wasn't interested.  Thoughts?

I would suspect that call was a scam. That's not even a Telus phone number. If it was Telus and you have an existing account, they would have had your email already that's associated with your MyTelus account. Do NOT put any info into the page they sent you. Telus wouldn't be asking you to update your password. If it's one of the more recent scams, the scammers want your username and password so they can get into your account and change the email and mailing address then order new devices before you realize what happened.

The only page you'd be going if you forgot your password is just: https://www.telus.com/mytelus/

There's absolutely no legitimate reason for the promotion/sales department of any company to ask you to update your password. 100% scam.
