So I just signed up for Stream+. Activating Telus TV+ was no problem (since I didn't already have an account). Next I went to activate Amazon Prime. I already have an Amazon Prime account so when I click Activate, I'm taken to an Amazon page to confirm my Amazon account:
When I click "Complete activation" I receive an activation error: "This account is not eligible for this offer":
I'm not sure if this is just because of the $1/mo three-month promo or if for some reason I cannot use migrate my existing Amazon Prime account to Stream+. If I can't at all then there's no point in keeping it, the $38 price tag doesn't really save me anything if it's only replacing my Netflix and Disney+ payments and not my Amazon Prime as well.
Has anyone else run into something like this? Any advice?

Hi there, we replied to your Twitter message but will reply here as well. You will be able to complete the service activation once you go into your Amazon account under Manage Prime Membership.
You will be able to see and manage any subscription from there, and can select the option to End benefit now or pause. Once the account is free from any subscription, you can retry the activation process through us.

Hi there, unfortunately it would be because you are not eligible for the $1/mo three-month promo.

Does that mean I, as a Telus customer, am not eligible for the three-month promo, or that my existing Prime membership cannot be migrated because of the three-month promo? Will I be able to migrate my existing Prime membership to Stream+ after the $1/mo promo ends?

it appears you are trying to add a promo from Telus to an existing prime account.
been a while, i clicked on the prime button and logged tnto prime just linking it to the Telus remote.
went smoothly.

Interesting... I'm not sure what the "Telus remote" is. I just signed up for Stream+ Premium (already a Telus mobile customer). I already had Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime, so it seemed like a no-brainer to get this bundle. You're supposed to be able to migrate your existing accounts with those services to Stream+ (so as not to loose your history, and whatnot). When I try to add my existing Amazon Prime account I'm running into this issue. If it's just a matter of not being able to connect while I'm on the $1/mo promo, that's fine. But I'm wondering if it's a different issue. I have Amazon Prime which includes Prime shipping, not just Prime Video, so I'm wondering if that's a factor. I also have add-on channels that I pay for separately in my Prime Video. I don't expect this bundle to cover those add-ons, but I wonder if having add-ons make it impossible to connect your account.

The FALSE advertising on Telus' website should be updated/removed to reflect this issue. Same with their reminder emails to activate, when in fact you cannot as an existing Prime member. If you pay annually, it is even more of a hassle, as you have to wait until your membership EXPIRES regardless of when you 'pause' or 'cancel' it. Now if you have to wait more than the promo date for which Telus is offering, for your Amazon to expire, you won't benefit from the switch likely. As well, you will lose all your history, etc. if you choose to expire and activate through Telus. Expiring it literally means NO MORE account. Reactivating is creating a NEW account. Start over. No thanks. I have too much music, video, purchased with my current account.
Keep this in mind when you encounter this.

OK, so this is all straightened out. I'm just going to add a bit of context in case someone finds themselves in the same, very specific boat as myself.
As @TELUS_Support mentions, you need to cancel or pause your existing Prime membership before you can activate it through Stream+. If you happen to be a Google user and (currently) pay for your Amazon Prime through Google Play you will have to wait until your next billing cycle before you can activate Amazon Prime through Stream+. When you cancel your existing subscription, it stays active until the next billing date.
So just keep that in mind when signing up for Stream+ with an existing Prime account, you may end up paying for both your Stream+ and your existing Prime subscription for up to a month depending on when you sign up for Stream+ vs when your Prime billing date is. Luckily for me I'm on the $1/mo 3-month promo so I'm paying the $1 for Netflix, Disney+, and Telus TV+ for the month and my Prime account separately until next month.
