Re: Stream+ can't connect to my existing Prime account?
Just to follow up as I have now gone through the entire process. I can confirm that your existing Prime membership MUST be inactive (cancelled) in order to activate it through Stream+. For those frustrated with Telus, this is an issue with Amazon as they will not let you migrate your membership to a third party bundle provider like Telus the way Netflix and Disney do. That being said, Telus could be a bit clearer, even with some fine print as most will assume that all three services will connect to Stream+ the same way. If, like me, you got a discounted offer for Stream+ (I got a $1/mo for 3 months offer) and you're paying for your existing Prime monthly, cancel it and sign up for Stream+ now (you don't lose any of your account info like watched shows and whatnot). If you don't have a discount offer for Stream+, cancel your existing Prime and wait for it to run out before signing up for Stream+. If you're paying yearly you may as well wait until it expires, Stream+ is only a deal if you get to remove paying for all three existing services.3.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Stream+ can't connect to my existing Prime account?
OK, so this is all straightened out. I'm just going to add a bit of context in case someone finds themselves in the same, very specific boat as myself. As TELUS_Support mentions, you need to cancel or pause your existing Prime membership before you can activate it through Stream+. If you happen to be a Google user and (currently) pay for your Amazon Prime through Google Play you will have to wait until your next billing cycle before you can activate Amazon Prime through Stream+. When you cancel your existing subscription, it stays active until the next billing date. So just keep that in mind when signing up for Stream+ with an existing Prime account, you may end up paying for both your Stream+ and your existing Prime subscription for up to a month depending on when you sign up for Stream+ vs when your Prime billing date is. Luckily for me I'm on the $1/mo 3-month promo so I'm paying the $1 for Netflix, Disney+, and Telus TV+ for the month and my Prime account separately until next month.4.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Stream+ can't connect to my existing Prime account?
Interesting... I'm not sure what the "Telus remote" is. I just signed up for Stream+ Premium (already a Telus mobile customer). I already had Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime, so it seemed like a no-brainer to get this bundle. You're supposed to be able to migrate your existing accounts with those services to Stream+ (so as not to loose your history, and whatnot). When I try to add my existing Amazon Prime account I'm running into this issue. If it's just a matter of not being able to connect while I'm on the $1/mo promo, that's fine. But I'm wondering if it's a different issue. I have Amazon Prime which includes Prime shipping, not just Prime Video, so I'm wondering if that's a factor. I also have add-on channels that I pay for separately in my Prime Video. I don't expect this bundle to cover those add-ons, but I wonder if having add-ons make it impossible to connect your account.4.4KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Stream+ can't connect to my existing Prime account?
Does that mean I, as a Telus customer, am not eligible for the three-month promo, or that my existing Prime membership cannot be migrated because of the three-month promo? Will I be able to migrate my existing Prime membership to Stream+ after the $1/mo promo ends?4.4KViews0likes0CommentsStream+ can't connect to my existing Prime account?
So I just signed up for Stream+. Activating Telus TV+ was no problem (since I didn't already have an account). Next I went to activate Amazon Prime. I already have an Amazon Prime account so when I click Activate, I'm taken to an Amazon page to confirm my Amazon account: When I click "Complete activation" I receive an activation error: "This account is not eligible for this offer": I'm not sure if this is just because of the $1/mo three-month promo or if for some reason I cannot use migrate my existing Amazon Prime account to Stream+. If I can't at all then there's no point in keeping it, the $38 price tag doesn't really save me anything if it's only replacing my Netflix and Disney+ payments and not my Amazon Prime as well. Has anyone else run into something like this? Any advice?Solved4.7KViews0likes8Comments
