It's complicated but the quick answer, for me, is no.

Not all VPN services are created equal and some will significantly slow your internet connection. The only time I've used VPN is when it's required to work remotely.

4 years agoI find any VPN I use always restricts the speed of my connection. I'm on gigabit fibre and most VPN servers I've tried only offer a fraction of the speed. If I'm travelling and using hotel or public wifi, I'm definitely using a VPN then.
