TELUS TV+ Availability in Ottawa

When I submit my address on the telus.com website it says Telus TV+ is available and can be ordered now.

After I submitted my order request, the salesperson that called me said their system shows that Telus TV is not available in Ottawa.

Either the website is wrong or the salespeople they have calling customers are wrong. So, is it available or not?

  • ubjones​ Do you by chance live in a condo/apartment building?

    The service may be available all around you, but unless fibre cable has been retro fitted, then it is not available to you. The condo association has to get the rough wiring done before condo suites can get the new internet based TelusTV+

      I live in a single detached home and I already have 1.5gb fibre connection through Teksavvy, which includes their TV service. The house next door, which is literally feet away because I live near downtown, had Bell Fibe TV/Internet.  So its not a physical neighborhood availability issue. 

      I want to switch because they are offering 2 years at key good price and their TV service is probably better.

        I am not aware that a fibre line is shared between providers anymore than copper.

    Hi ubjones​ - Since the sales individual advised that it is not available, it would be safe to assume that your area is not available yet. You can contact them and ask them to investigate the address if you already have fibre to your home

      They don't need to contact the sales rep, as TV availability is public knowledge you can answer.         You should re-read my post, because it's clear that you didn't understand. 
        I DID submit my address online
        It DID say TV service was available.
        So I filled out the order form to initiate the sign-up process. When they called back, they said while internet service is available, TV service is not available. This contradicts what the website check indicated.

      The rep said they would submit an request concerning my address. 

      But really, come on, they must know where they offer service. I mean, I'm near downtown Ottawa, about 1km from where the Prime Minister lives.
