My wife switched to Shaw (Rogers) and we returned all our equipment. She has still been getting billed for Telus security for the last year and a half. We sent the equipment back but like TELUS being Telus they have no record of the equipment being returned and can only see as far back as August 2024. My wife has called numerous times and they don't seem to understand that we don't have the equipment or security services and we will not pay for services we don't have or use! What's the next step because we can't speak with anyone who can speak clear English or that can understand what we are trying to explain! She even spoke with someone who said it was canceled in November and that she would receive a refund going back as far as March of 2024. We are at a point where we do not care about the refund any longer and just want to stop getting bills and close the account!! FRUSRATING!!!

I would be careful as I received a call today about a supposedly “cancelled” account that I had on home services 2 years ago. We had moved and they could not provide the same services in our area, so they said we get out scott-free.
Apparently there were hidden fees with this cancellation of some sort that were a part of this cancellation and I received a call from General Credit Services, a COLLECTIONS AGENCY, telling me that I owe them $63.52 for outstanding fees on my old account.
After multiple hours of wasting my time Telus confirmed it was legit. I’m just lucky I answered my phone from the debt collectors before it was reported on my credit history.
I am unfortunately still a Telus customer, and just renewed my contracts about a month ago or I would be out the door. As soon as I can afford to I’m leaving as this is the slimiest business practise I have ever experienced and I have been a customer of Telus since I was 13 years old. Ridiculous.
