The new solution to a problem that cannot be solved

The bell indicated a new post is made in a thread I am following, series recordings. The reply box is greyed out and has this within it. 

"Sorry, either you cannot reply to this topic or you have not verified your email address by clicking on the verification link in the email we sent you when you registered. If you did not …."

NOTE: this is all that is seen.

The accepted solution July 5, 2023 says we are working on it with a link to a closed thread.

The thread you linked has been closed to further replies by a moderator.

The error message is poorly worded given the actions applied to the thread.

Today I was asked by email if I received an answer to my question. NO, while the one reply post was obvious to what I found for myself it was not an answer to why threads are closed without a REAL solution to make the question go away.
