I have a long-distance plan on my landline phone. Recently , I have gotten the message in the title of this post when I try to call certain numbers in the US. These are numbers that I have called before and I don’t believe that I am being intentionally blocked on the other end. Any idea about how to solve this? Many thanks.

It sounds like you're encountering a "call blocked" or "call not permitted" message when trying to dial certain US numbers, even though you've successfully called them before. This can be frustrating, but there are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:
Verify the Dialing Format:
Test with Another Phone:
Reset Your Landline Connection:
If the above steps don’t work, send us a private message and provide details about the specific numbers you're trying to call. We can get someone to look into this with you.

I am not sure how to send a private message. I did try all three steps and I still get the same message when I try to call those numbers. I have Koodo for my cell service and I am able to call from that phone, but I don’t have a long distance plan on it so I don’t use myself for long-distance calls. That’s why I continue to use my landline. I’m happy to send some of the numbers that I can’t reach, but I don’t want to put it here if it’s going to be public. Thanks very much

At the top right hand of the page is an envelope. Click on that and you should be able to send us a private message.

Does everything have to be the hard way? The envelope at top right is not the easy way. The display is generic and needs a super expert to operate. I have opened a thread on that with no resolution.
just click on the user name for TELUS_Support in the previous post
