Temporarily Switch to Can-US Plan?

Telus-Bird

Currently, we're on a Telus service agreement with our phone that expires in three months. If we travelled to the USA for a few days, would we be able to temporarily switch to the Unlimited 40 Canada-US plan for those few days and then switch back to the regular Unlimited 40 plan? Would there be any penalty?

I believe you need to be on a plan for 1 blling period minimum. That is, 1 plan switch per month max. You need to contact customer service to confirm.

My recollection is the Can-US plans require an ongoing commitment for the period of the plan (2 years), as it is meant for regular cross-border travellers. For occasional travel the Easy Roam add on makes most sense; $9 per day to use your phone as though you were still home.

no.  They won't allow that.  It has to be, I believe, until the end of whatever term you are on.
