why is telus not hiring more installers?

How can TELUS rationalize talking over 1 month to do a home install? the internet is an essential service, and people cannot be without internet for this amount of time. Would you expect people to be without water or heat for over a month? Why exactly wont Telus just hire more installers so they can bridge the gap?

Hi @tpots38 - this sounds like we need time to install the fibre drop to your home. We usually book 3 weeks ahead to allow our crew to be able to construct the fibre line and to allow them ample time to overcome issues.

No, The fiber was pulled into the main tel room Of my building. The home install team could not figure out how to drill through the wall in order to connect my unit to the fibre box. The senior technician told me they would send a secondary team to figure out how to drill in a few days. It’s been 7 days and no one has reached out to me or anything.
The run around and lack of communication between teams is astonishing.
