our internet is on one phone socket but not the others.

@Anon125 You will have new fiber line to house. A new box outside then fiber into house to an ONT ( needs power outlet ) Your inside phone wires can be put on the ont. Old phone wires are disconnected from incoming phone wire and hooked to ONT. Hopefully the site for ont has 120 there and also your inside tel wires. The tech will take care of that. Note phone will not work during power outage they may supply a battery backup if you ask (needs 120 also). Old tel wire to house no used anymore.

Also, when they convert us to fibre, is that done at the utility pole?
will we still use the phone for the internet?

You will need Cat 5a or Cat 6 ethernet cable to distribute the network traffic throughout your house. Telephone wires won’t work. If a new install, the installation tech will try to locate the fibre connection near your current modem location.
