Anyone have this happen to them?
I have two addresses with Telus internet. When the contracts came due last time I called to renew. The agent said that the contract for address 1 was still 12 months from expiring. She even went to the effort of calculating for me how much it would cost me to supposedly break that contract. So I signed a 2-year contract for address 2, and left address 1 alone.
Now, my bad for not keeping tabs on my bills that I've set up auto-payments for. But now, months later, I've basically donated gobs of money to Telus. Going to switch providers asap, and when address 2 comes due next year I'll switch that too.
Reading some of the other posts about scammy practices on here, wanted to see if anyone's also been victims of this?
