Lied about contract
[Tried posting this earlier, was deleted without explanation. So I'll try again.] Has anyone else have this happen to them? I have two addresses. It was time to renew my home internet service for both. Agent on the phone insisted that for address #1 I still had a year left on my contract, and even went out of her way to calculate what the penalty would have been if I were to break that contract. So I took her word for it and renewed services for address #2 and assumed address #1 would continue per existing contract terms. My bad for not checking my bills (I've set up auto payments) but long story show I've been paying full off-contract price for months because I was lied to. I'm finding it hard to think how that can be an honest mistake, and more inclined to think it's a deliberate tactic. Anyone else experience this?661Views1like1Comment
