As a massive Batman fan, I can say with no question that this movie lived up to the hype and then some. I've really enjoyed Pattinson's work in recent films such as The Rover, The Lighthouse, and Cosmopolis and I knew he'd nail this role as well. He strikes the perfect balance between a young Bruce Wayne, only a few years into his role as the world's greatest detective, and the menacing Batman. Matt Reeves did an incredible job setting up the scene and breathing an almost gothic, film noir life into Gotham. At almost three hours in length, The Batman never feels overly long or slow, and it looks and sounds gorgeous. Turn this one up to full volume and kick back...you're in for a treat.
