Prime Video on TELUS - July 2022

PrimeVideoBlueBG.jpg

July is here, and this year is definitely flying by! There's nothing better than kicking back after a great summer day and checking out that new movie your coworkers keep talking about, or checking out the latest episodes of your favourite series. Prime Video is the place to be for both, and Prime members are in for a treat in July with some of the best streaming content out there as well as a new blockbuster series starring none other than Chris Pratt!

As you may know, Prime Video is part of the Optik TV experience, and the Prime Video app is also on the Optik TV 4K media box as well. It's never been easier to sign up! There's always great new original content available, not to mention a ton of classic movies and shows to check out! Let's see what's coming our way!

Coming to Prime Video in July

  • July 1 - The Terminal List
    • Chris Pratt stars as a Navy SEAL being hunted in this thrilling action series.
  • July 15 - Don't Make Me Go
    • John Cho stars in a touching drama about a terminally ill father bonding with his daughter one last time.

Most Anticipated

The Terminal List

When I first heard about this series and its premise a few months back, I was intrigued. Now that the trailer is out, it's on my 'Must See' list for sure. Based on the best-selling Jack Carr novel, The Terminal List stars Chris Pratt as James Reece, a Navy SEAL suffering from severe PTSD after his entire team was killed on a covert mission. Reece uncovers the truth that his team was ambushed and sent to die, and now his superiors will do anything to ensure he doesn't tell the world...including sending an entire legion of Navy SEALs after him to silence him forever.

That looks incredible, with top notch action and some definite twists and turns to keep you guessing. Just my kind of story. I can't wait to see how it all unfolds, when all 8 episodes drop on July 1. Be sure to check it out!

The Boys (Season 3)

This season of The Boys ramps things up in the most ridiculous way possible, and I'm here for it. Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and his ragtag group of 'Supe Hunter' vigilantes are still after The Seven and their leader, the cunning Homelander. If you haven't caught up on this season, or haven't seen this show yet at all (really?!) then you're in for a treat. In The Boys, superheroes are real...but what if they're not all cape-wearing, world-saving do-gooders? What if some of them are just terrible, and don't care about innocent bystanders dying during their exploits? Those lowly regular humans are inferior anyways, right? What if a group of those regular humans decided to fight back?

You'll have a blast with this season, and Billy Butcher decides to do something he swore he'd never do...just to have a chance at stopping the Supes. It's still over-the-top, with campy violence and dark humor, and with a fourth season officially greenlit, you have time to catch up on the craziness that is The Boys!
