Coming To Netflix in March

  • March 1 - Spaceman
    • Adam Sandler stars in this new original movie about an astronaut who encounters an alien life form.
  • March 7 - The Gentlemen
    • Guy Ritchie's debut Netflix series set in the universe he started with his hit movie.

Most Anticipated

Spaceman

This upcoming original Netflix movie from the creator of the fantastic series Chernobyl looks to be another must-watch event. The always amazing Adam Sandler takes another dramatic turn in Spaceman, a sci-fi dramatic thriller about an astronaut sent on a solo mission to the edge of the galaxy. He finds his marriage and earthly life falling apart in his absence, and discovers that his only hope to return home and fix it all may be the alien creature now mysteriously onboard his ship.

I loved Sandler in Uncut Gems, and admittedly a part of that is my fascination with seeing comedic actors take their shot at different genres. This looks to be another fascinating sci-fi thriller, with a star-studded cast including Carey Mulligan and Paul Dano (The Batman). Some strong 2001: A Space Odyssey meets Black Mirror vibes and I'm all for it. Don't miss Spaceman when it drops March 1 on Netflix!

What I'm Watching Now

Avatar: The Last Airbender (Season 1)

After a number of years about this classic Nickelodeon series has finally been adapted into a live-action series. Avatar: The Last Airbender is finally here, and after watching the first two episodes I can vouch that the hype is real. With a blend of martial arts action and fantasy, topped with an intriguing story and must-see characters and costumes, I think they really nailed the feel of the original animated classic. In this alternate universe, there are four main nations in a world where some people can telekinetically manipulate one of the four elements through their martial arts. When the only individual who can bend all four, the 'Avatar' is powerless to stop the Fire Nation from attempting to conquer the other groups, the last Air Nomad Aang must embark on a quest to save the world and become the new Avatar.

You can tell the creators and cast of this series are massive fans of the original material, and so far I'm loving this! The action is over the top without getting campy, and it definitely has a comic book vibe that I'm a huge fan of. This is definitely worth checking out if you always wanted to see what the animated series was about, or if you love fantasy and martial arts. Check out the entire first season streaming now on Netflix!
