Most Anticipated
Zombieverse
This looks like a blast! While there have been countless movies and shows about zombies and how people would survive in a nightmare scenario where the walking dead roam the earth...there's been very few reality competition shows about it. Well, horror and reality fans rejoice...we now have the highly anticipated South Korean series Zombieverse!
The premise is fairly straightforward: A number of contestants must work together in an attempt to survive a zombie apocalypse by finding food, shelter, and more. If any of the contestants are 'bitten' by one of the endless actors portraying a zombie, they're eliminated. As a massive horror fan, this alone is worth the price of admission. You can be sure, like in the movies, how efficiently the survivors work together will mean the difference between life and 'death'. You can't beat shows like this in the summer. No deep concentration, no need to remember what happened in the last episode if it's been a while...just kick back, grab your favourite snack and have a blast! Zombieverse is streaming on Netflix August 8th, don't miss it!
What I'm Watching Now
The Witcher (Season 3 - Volume 2)
So far, the third season of The Witcher has been spectacular. Based on the Witcher novel 'Time of Contempt', this season so far has found Geralt (Henry Cavill), Yennefer and Ciri on the run from bounty hunters while continuing Ciri's training as a witcher and mage. Now, the final three episodes of the season are here, and Cavill's run as Geralt of Rivera will come to a close. Fans of The Witcher are in for a treat with these final episodes and to see what happens since the cliffhanger last month where Geralt was ambushed by Dijkstra.
I'm excited to see how it all goes down in these final three episodes. If you're not caught up on The Witcher, you owe it to yourself to take the time. It's a beautifully shot fantasy masterpiece, with action sets to rival Game of Thrones, and fantastic writing to boot. All three seasons are now streaming on Netflix, and work on the anticipated fourth season is already underway. Check it out!
