Telus 3G coverage
I own a CPAP device which uses Telus 3G to connect to my provider. According to what I read online Telus 3G support will end by December 2025, but the wording is a little fuzzy. It sounds like it will...
There are a few threads on this topic, but this is the only one not yet closed, so I am adding new information here.
It seems that Rogers will finally be shutting down their 3G network on July 31 2025. However, as of May 2025, Telus still has not announced a shutdown date. They have raised 3G pricing by $3/month to encourage clients to switch.
So despite receiving "mandatory upgrade" letters as early as December 2022, I'm happy that I did not respond. In fact, whenever I do have to finally stop using 3G (for my security system), I am likely to abandon Telus and find another provider. I simply can't ignore the fact that Telus lied to me about the urgency of upgrading my system - I'll find another provider before I pay them for an upgrade now.
