Is it possible to access Telus TV in Mexico?  I am already paying for it and home phone and internet when I'm away.

You should be able to access Optik through the Apps, or on your computer.

You will consume bandwidth at your location, though.

You can also suspend home services if you are away for a longer period.

Are you sure about that? I believe Canadian TV content is only available in Canada.  A VPN may fool it.

I just use Slingbox hardware to control my equipment when away. Works great.

@WestCoasterBC

What is Slingbox hardware and where do we get that from?

Cheers!

Company has been around forever. Bestbuy or any major electronics retailer.. See their products here.

I no longer have Telus Optik TV because it wouldn't even work well with one TV on the DSL they could offer me.  However, do the Slingboxes work on the Optik TV boxes or do you need an adaptor to overcome the HDCP protection on the HDMI cables?  It does "work great" but I had to use an extra piece...
