Not sure how long to leave the Gear ICON before trying another restart of the wireless OPTIK TV box?

Probably been 30 minutes or more now?

Anyone

The gear icon means the box is trying to re-download it's operating system. It often comes up if the box has been rebooted too many times when it doesn't have an internet connection. Two gears usually means it is installing the software. If the wireless set top box does not have a connection, I'd recommend calling Telus before rebooting it any further.

Thanks very much - got past this - and then each of the wireless STB showed red wireless link light - so we spent 2hrs on the phone with TELUS troubleshooting - finally got the 2 wireless boxes a green link light - TELUS ran monitoring for a few minutes - hung up and sure enough they have both gone back to red and no video or audio will work.  sigh    Now we need more help getting extenders and STB to a green link light - thoughts
