Wireless STB show red link light

Starting this week, our 2 wireless STB are showing red wireless link lights, the wireless STBs are suppose to sync with TELUS extenders.  Tried a bunch of restarting of STBs and extenders, a full system resync, and finally after spending 2hrs on the phone with TELUS troubleshooting - they finally got the 2 wireless boxes to show a green link lights (supposively they increased BandWidth on extenders) - TELUS ran monitoring for a few minutes and said it was all looking good, so we hung up, and sure enough by the time i walked back to each TV, they had both gone back to red and now TVs have frozen video/ audio and does not even recognize PVR recordings. sigh!

Any more thoughts on how to get Extenders and Wireless STB boxes working better or how to trouble shoot

thanks

The Telus Boost devices do not transmit the multicast signal needed for TV. Your set top boxes need to connect to the initial router.

Telus calls these extenders. You are correct Boosters do not carry tv traffic but extenders do.

worked great for over a year

I remember extenders being used for routers prior to the T3200M, but not since. Are your TV located beyond the wireless distance of your router?

Our home seems to be very unfriendly for wireless (lots of issues when we were on SHAW as well) - The extender was placed in the living room so that it could cover the bedroom/TV which is right above (1flr).  It is so odd as it was all working great for over 1yr and now for some reason it is not.
