I just got a call from someone claiming he is from Telus Sales & Promotions team offering me the new iPhone 16 pro max for 35% discount with 100 GB 5G+ plan. He said his name is Mark with employment ID P1273. I believed that this is legit but when he was about to finalize the order he asked for my credit card information to charge security deposit ($70) which will be refunded to me when I receive the package. I was not comfortable saying my credit card information over phone. Is this legit?

100% a scam. Do NOT give them any of your information. Telus employees also don't randomly hand out their employee IDs either. That's another indicator of a scam.
