Wrongfully Charged

Strutsy
Neighbour

Internet stopped working randomly. Charged $175 for someone to come have a look at it. You're telling me in addition to the monthly plan I'm on, it costs $175 to have someone fix the service that I'm paying for? That would be like your phone service cutting out for two days and rather than them reimbursing you for two days that you paid for service and didn't have any, you have to pay a fee for their mishap. WTF? Oh and the person never came because it started working before they were scheduled to come and I told Telus I no longer needed anyone to come. Bizarre behaviour.

If there is a legitimate issue on our end, we wouldn't charge the fee. It's more in place for people who do not wish to go through troubleshooting over the phone or insist on a field visit for an issue that can be resolved remotely.

In your case, if we didn't show up and/or you canceled the service visit, there's no fee and there could be a delay in the system processing that. Have you checked your account to see if the fee was reversed?
