Hello,
I have a Telus Optic TV box model # VIP5662W
I'm trying to get a universal remote working with this device, it's a Sofabaton U1 that supports IR but not Bluetooth. Is this possible? I found a device in it's compatible device list, under Arris VIP5662W which installed correctly but won't operate the Optic TV which is unfortunate.
So my question is if there's an IR sensor on my device, or do I have to buy a remote that supports Bluetooth?

If the remote supports it, there should be IR learning where you can point the telus remote at the Sofabaton and manually capture the ir functions.

Worked like a charm. I don't know why, but for some reason I incorrectly thought the Optik remote was Bluetooth. Thanks!
