Programing remote code
Hello. I Need help programing my new telus remote to my tv. It's the new Bluetooth telus remote. Trying to code it to my tv wich is a 55 inch rca. One of those walmart boxing day specials. None of the codes I've found will work. It's some kind of 3 digit code. Any help would be appreciated.
If you have the newer Bluetooth remote for the TelusTV+ / AndroidTV set top boxes, there are two ways to program the remote. One with codes and one without. (from https://www.telus.com/en/support/article/telus-tv-digital-box-remote)
No codes needed for most devices: From the Home screen, navigate to Settings → Device settings → Remotes & Accessories → Program Remote with TV and follow the steps on screen.
If that fails, you can find the remote codes for the new remotes here.
One thing to make note of is that RCA sold the rights to use their brand name to multiple companies many years ago. The various manufacturers do NOT all use the same codes for the TVs as it will depend on who manufactured the board inside.

I have tried all that. And alot of those codes are for the slimline remote. I have the new telus tv+ Google remote and a black box reciver for tv. My tv model number is rtu5540-d if that's any help.

For RCA TVs, the following codes have been found to work:
0020
0021
0029
1465
Please try each of these codes using the manual code entry method:
Press and hold the OK and Mute buttons on your remote for 3 seconds until the green LED stays on.
Enter one of the codes listed above.
The green LED will blink twice and then go off.
Test the Power, Volume, and Mute buttons to see if they control your TV.
It is only a 3 digit code.
