How to get the max speed with unifi

Hi,

I have a new Unifi gateway dream machine pro max. When the technician installed the NH20 he specifically gave me an ONT that allow me to use the ONT serial number to register with Telus fiber, so I can connect the fiber directly into the UDM without using the NH20 telus router and that work.. 

When I connect the ONT directly into my UDM into the SFP+ port and set the speed to 10 Gb the internet connect but I can never achieve the 1.5Gb I paid for. My PC can talk at 10 Gb to the router I tested using iperf but when I use a speed test website or even the self test inside the dream machine I'm stuck at 1 Gb.. any help would be appreciated.

Not gonna lie, a lot of this is beyond my self-proclaimed tech savviness! lol But there are troubleshooting guides for slow internet and connectivity issues at https://www.telus.com/en/support/interstitial/internet-and-tv-troubleshooting though I don't think they will apply in your case since you're not using a TELUS router.
