I got an email that I have until March to switch to fibre optics. Telus disconnected my internet today without informing me. The technical support was no help at all. I don't have internet until my appointment.

That seems odd. Normally they wouldn't disconnect the copper until the fibre was working. When I upgraded from DSL to fibre, my DSL stayed online right up to when the installer was on site installing the fibre hardware. Maybe check with tech support again.
