port forward issues

Hello,

I'm trying to set the port forward on the Telus Wifi Hub (ARCA02238F96).

Like, for instance, I want to do the port forward on Private IP: 192.168.1.120 . The booster has IP: 192.168.1.95

I did everything & save. Then after 3 - 5 mins, when I refresh the page the Private IP keep changing itself from x.x.x.120 pointing to the IP address on one of the booster x.x.x.95

Anyone has seen this issue. Please advise

You can try logging into the GUI by entering 'admin' for the username and the password located under the lid on top of the gateway. Then under the Firewall menu at the top, select Port Forwarding, click Add Rule in the bottom right corner, enter the required port info, and click on Save Settings at the bottom center of the page. See if that works!

You should be doing port forwarding on your router, not the wifi hub. Have you tried connecting to 192.168.1.254 (should be the router)?

Just a long time customer hoping to help.

sounds like you have your booster setup in router mode.  Or it could be your telus router is seeing the booster as a router.

This can be resolved one of 3 ways...

1 - if you can access the booster admin page, setup additional port routing to the device that needs routing.

2 - reconfigure your booster to be a wifi repeater only.  This will make the router invisible to the network and it will not have a standard ip

3 - run a long cable to your device that needs the internet.  There are kits that can hijack old coax cables if you have those lying around
