Prime Video on TELUS - July 2024

PrimeVideoBlueBG.jpg

July is almost here already, and the days are getting longer! As we can all agree, there's nothing better than kicking back and checking out that new movie your coworkers keep talking about, checking out the latest episodes of your favourite series, or seeing what scary new horror movies are available! Prime Video is the place to be for all of the above, and next month brings a slew of great new content to dig into.

As you may know, Prime Video is part of the Optik TV experience, and the Prime Video app is also on the Optik TV 4K media box as well. It's never been easier to sign up! There's always great new original content available, not to mention a ton of classic movies and shows to check out! Let's dive in!

Coming to Prime Video in July

July 19 - Those About To Die

This series has all the makings of something special, and I can't wait to dig in. Those About To Die is the highly anticipated upcoming epic historical drama set in ancient Rome and starring none other than the legendary Anthony Hopkins! In the same vein as the classic movie Gladiator, this series tells the story of the business of how those in power entertained the masses the best way they knew how - bloody combat!

I'm admittedly a big fan of the genre, from great series like Rome and Spartacus, to the aforementioned film Gladiator...I love it all. Those About To Die looks to continue the amazing cinematography, costuming, and intrigue of those great titles, and I'm sure there'll be enough twists and turns to make all ten episodes must-watch television. Don't miss this series when it drops July 19 on Prime Video!

The Boys (Season 4)

This season of The Boys thus far has been incredible! The action sequences, dark humor, and blend of political commentary has been as promised, and I can't wait to see where this season takes us. The world is on the brink of chaos, and Homelander looks to be consolidating his power more than ever, complete with his minion Victoria Neuman ever closer to the presidency. The clock's ticking for Butcher as well, as time is quickly running out to save the world before it's too late.

The Boys continues to be one of the best comic book series running today, with sharp writing and the darkest of comedy (just how I like it). If you're not caught up on The Boys, you definitely owe it to yourself to start from episode one and make your way through, you won't be disappointed. Don't miss new episodes of The Boys dropping every week on Prime Video!
