Coming to Prime Video in April

April 19 - The Beekeeper

There are only a few action stars that manage to keep appearing in similar movies, but somehow keep it exciting and fresh. Liam Neeson of course is in this select group, and so is the incomparable Jason Statham. Charm, charisma, and enough fighting ability to give a sense of reality to otherwise over-the-top movies, Statham continues to deliver. In his latest revenge movie The Beekeeper, he portrays Adam Clay...a quiet (you guessed it) beekeeper who lives a seemingly peaceful and helpful life in his community. When his landlady and friend however loses her life, he sets out on a brutal campaign for revenge upon those responsible. What they don't know however is that he's part of 'The Beekeepers', a clandestine group of secret operatives. The cat and mouse game begins.

I'm definitely pumped to see this movie, and the critic reviews thus far have me even more amped. For Statham fans, and action fans in general, you can do no wrong here. These movies are great to kick back with after a long day with your favorite snack, to just lose yourself for a few hours. You know Statham will also bring the humor as he always does, and the preposterous premise of these movies is what makes them great. If you've got a few hours to kill and want to have a great time with a few laughs, check out The Beekeeper on Prime Video when it hits April 19!

Reacher (Season 2)

If you haven't watched Reacher yet, oh boy are you missing out. Both season are now streaming on Prime Video and you are in for a treat. Alan Ritchson shines in the titular role as Jack Reacher (or 'just Reacher' as he likes to say), a former U.S. military policeman, wandering from town to town. With formidable strength, intellect, and abilities...it doesn't take long for him to get himself into trouble as he protects the innocent and struggles with his past as it comes back to haunt him.

Not only is the action sensational, the cast is superb and it's far funnier than I ever anticipated. What I love the most about this series as well is how each season is its own case in a new town. While there's an overarching storyline with returning characters in the second season, it helps each season feel like its own thing. The first season was unmissable in the small town of Margrave, Georgia as Reacher was falsely arrested for murder, and season two thus far is shaping up to be just as fantastic. Reacher and a former member of his now defunct unit from the military must discover who is killing off the rest of their team before they fall victim themselves. Reacher is fast paced, hilarious, and fantastically written. Do yourself a favor and catch up on both seasons before Season 3 (which is already on the way) hits. Only on Prime Video!
